Gen 3 Music in HGSS???

It's only the fanfare music you get when you receive an item. I think I can live with that.
 
I think that's just the standard music for obtaining something (in this case, Notched-Ear Pichu).
 
Its not in any games other than RSE, why couldn;t they use DPPT obtained something music, or GS obtained something music revamped.
 
Maybe because this song ISN'T from the third generation and was heard in the original Gold and Silver? (And Red and Green for the matter....)

I only remember it being in RSE, was it really in GS?
If so, they should have used DPPT.
 
In case anyone has forgotten, G/S music plays in the background when you're at some of the Sevii Islands in FR/LG.

So I would expect some RS music to play in the HG/SS remakes, assuming there will be new areas to explore.

Yes and even Red/Green. They changed the tempo a bit throughout the years but it's still the same song.

Oh, and it does play in D/P. It is in every main Pokémon game ever made, even the Stadiums and the GameCube RPGs.

EDIT: How could I have forgot to mention - Generation III music does play in this video, right before the jingle you mentioned. :p It's the music from the trade room in R/S and the dance in FR/LG.

I jsut picked up a Great Ball in diamond, and its not the same music as in 0:53-0;56 of that video.
 
It's like the Zelda "YOU GOT THE THING!" music. It's been upgraded and embellished over the years, but it's still the same song (or at least, set of tones). Wind Waker doesn't use a version of OOT's music, it uses a version of Zelda's music.
 
It's already been said, so I won't even bother.

Much more important is the other music they showed off - remixed version of the DPPt snow Routes' theme? Hell yes!

Indeed, you're right - even better! In my opinion, it's one of the best tracks in the whole series, and it sounds like any changes they've made to it have been for the better.

I doubt it. He doesn't listen well.

Okay, you guys have inspired me. Once I get the game, I'll start playing unmuted. Then I can appreciate the awesome music you guys seem to love.
 
It's all about childhood nostalgia, Ryuu. Violet's music just brings me back; it's not something I'd go out of my way to listen to.
