Gen V needs to make evolutions for all the Pokemon that don't have one.

Or at least a pre-evolution; excluding legendaries, obviously.

Let's take Dunsparce, for example. I know I can't be the only person in the universe that thinks Dunsparce is in serious need of an evolution... I mean, look at it--it's just screaming for a chance to evolve.

Evolve me!

Another obvious example is a little Pokemon called Luvdisc, which has endless heart-shaped potential.

And why doesn't Aerodactyl have an evolution? We all know it would be cool.

Think about it. This needs to happen. Before we put to much thought into coming up with brand new Pokemon for Gen V, let's give the old ones a chance! If Lapras and Farfetch'd don't get evolutions (or at least pre-evolutions, in the case of Lapras or Kangaskhan)... I don't know. But they need to evolve. =P

Thoughts?

No they don't.

Unown is meant to be a single evolution as their power lies in their numbers.

Ditto evolution. Think about that.

No, they really don't. I mean, look at Relicanth. It's whole gimmick is that it has stayed the same for millions of years.

I'M THINKING BUT ITS NOT FUCKING WORKING. THIS 5TH GEN FRIED MY BRAIN AND I CAN ONLY DROOL, AND MAKE 100 MILLION THREADS TO THE HIGH HEAVENS.

Skarmory and Heracross proove that not everyone needs to evolve.

And what exactly is the point of prevolutions? They're just weaker versions of the original whose sole purpose is to evolve into the original stronger version.

Chibi, Chibi kawaii plushie-san sell!

Moves my friend. Moves that the evolution can not learn.

Well, obviously with the exception of Pokemon like the Unown. They already have so many forms that another evolution would be redundant.

I see your guys' point, but Dunsparce and Luvdisc are still crying out.

Then post that in the already established evo/prevo thread.

If evolving every non-OU material Pokemon means taking away room from potentially good new ideas, than it's a nay.

Some gimmicky Pokemon, while they do suck, add more realism to the setting. If everyone could evolve into a big bad 150-stats-all-around beast...well, that's just not right.

While some evolutions would be fine, I'd prefer not seeing another Gen IV and have oldies clogging up the game unless they're really needed.

I think we could use a tropius evolution. It could be like dragon and grass type and could PWN everything. It could be the garchomp of the 5th Gen.

Which is why said pre-evo's are pointless if your only reason are the moves.

If it weren't for the moves they would. Also what if one of the gamefreak staff suddenly got a great idea for a small blue beetle pokémon in his head, and everybody working there likes it. What should they do with it? Abandon it because some lifeless metagamers don't like it? People will buy the games anyway, so why would they abandon it?

I think that some pokemon deserve evos, but not all.

No. It's nice that some Pokemon can't evolve. And some don't need to (Aerodactyl, Lapras et al).
