Well, I haven't seen anyone talking about the Gen. V Mystery Dungeon. So do you think they'll have it in Gen. V? What do you think the names will be, what new stuff might be introduced, etc.? Will they have a third version like Sky?

I think they'll have it in Gen V, although I'm not really sure what they'll do for a plot. Otherwise they can always remake PMD1.

They'll do something. Maybe a plotline that leads up to Arceus. We all know that if they make another, it will revolve around bad Pokemon and Mystery Dungeons.

Arceus will be just like Rayquaza in the first ones you fight him and he saves the day.

How about a bit of a twist: Arceus will think that you're the one causing the trouble in the world, but in the end, he realizes his mistake.

And, yes, I'd like the Mystery Dungeon games to make a comeback.

I hope there is a PMD 3 I liked PMD2 with it's dark, almost scary, storyline.

I think it's the only pokemon game that had dealt with death directly. (The PC dying after changing time made me cry ... my poor mudkipz)

Explorers of Sky was PMD3...

So we need PMD 4.

I've played red rescue tem and explorers of time. I never got around to explorers of the sky. I hope if they make another one that it won't be so monotonous and hard to beat. Example: Aegis cave on PMD2. I STILL haven't gotten through it and I've had the game for over a year. I liked PMD1 the best though. The outlaw thing was pretty cool. Although traveling with a shiny celebi was fun too.

I hope they make one for Gen V. Every Mystery Dungeon game has been addictive as hell... I seriously don't know what it is about those games, but they're like fun on pancakes or something.

Unlikely.

That's like, the whole point of the roguelike genre.

Alakazam and the rest thought the same thing in PMD1. And realized their mistakes in the end. Darkrai tried to make the player believe the same thing in PMD2. He failed however.

It wouldn't be a twist. It would be reusing old concepts.

Yeah and Yellow is a gen 2 game, while Crystal is in fact gen 3, Emerald is totally gen 4 and Platinum was the first gen 5 game to be released.
Many people see Sky als PMD3 while it's merely the third version. The title PMD3 would go to either the WiiWare games or the new games (wich I'm sure we're getting).

Can't wait for the new Mystery Dungeon games. Although both PMD1 and PMD2 were basicly the same, I enjoyed both. Bring on Mystery Dungeon Extreme Speed and Extreme Power, I'd say. (The third version being Extreme Awesomeness)

I'd very much like to see some new Mystery Dungeon games during Gen V. I enjoyed Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky a lot.

On the difficulty thing, that's what helps to make the games great. I would hope that new games would be even more difficult.

I have no doubt that there will be a Mystery Dungeon or two for Gen V... just like I have no doubt that there'll be a new Wii game and a new Ranger game also. Since Gen III, they've had at least 1-2 home console games, 1 Ranger, and 2 Mystery Dungeons to accompany the main handheld series.

Me too. I have PMD Red and Time. Not sky yet. Hopefully, I might get it soon.

I also loved Shiny Celebi and Grovyle, I wish they could join my team permanently. I was so relieved that Grovyle didn't disappear forever.

What I want to see is fucking Kecleon kicking my ass just for stealing a Gravelrock and being the hardest Pokemon in the game to recruit. I actually got one in PMD1 after about 5 years though.

No... you got it all wrong. Crystal was Gen 2, Emerald is Gen 3, and Platinum was Gen 4.

Haha I remember that. In PMD1 I was charizard with kyogre on my team and I got a kecleon. I kicked so many keckleon asses just for fun once I was level 100.

PMD has amazingly deep storylines, so I hope they go even further in this generation.

What about the main character being an anti-hero, like in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance? Your entire goal in that game is to destroy the world, basically, but it's a dream world and destroying it is the only way to return home.

Lol, if I had a mobile scarf on me, I could easily kick their asses with one low kick. I was level 100 and I didn't learn about joy seeds until I was in the 90s o_o.
