Do you think the GTS will be the same as it was in Gen V? Will it have a few minor changes? Or will they completely revamp it?

Personally, I think they should just revamp it. With all the new features and capabilities of the 3DS, there's no reason not to. At the very least, they need expand the search function and allow it to yield more search results. I'm pretty sure we're all sick of sifting through all those "Level 9 and under" requests.

Yeah sure, maybe we can share movies this time (if it returns). Or can you do that now? Never explored it.
Also, if they could put the PWT on the GTS, and even a spectator mode live, that would be great. Maybe even bet a few pokedollars on who will win lol.

I at least hope they make it so impossible offers( ex Lv 9 Reshiram) cannot be requested, they could have it so a message pops up that says "Sorry but you cannot request that" or something along those lines.
Legendary Pokémon which are level 9 and under may eventually become possible like there are now level 5 legendary Pokémon from Dream Radar and level 1 members of the Creation Trio from Sinjoh Ruins. I think they could make online updates for Pokémon X and Y which allow previously impossible requests to be possible when the requested level become possible like Mario Kart 7 received an update online to stop a glitch in the Wuhu Mountain Loop course from happening during online races.

More search results would be godsend. OTL Also a way to filter results a bit more. Like level 1-10, but also 1-5 and so on.

Another neat option would be an offered-search, where you can see who is seeking what Pokemon, and what they're offering. If that sounded confusing I'll blame nervousness over attending school.

1. make it to where you cannot request impossible pokemon (level 9 and under Reshirams, a Blastoise that's under level 36, etc.)

2. make it to where you can scroll through results

3. let you choose whether or not it will keep its nickname (If the person I'm trading with isn't a close friend [AKA, trading on this], I don't want a nickname, but I realize some do like nicknames)

4. make it to where you have to ask for either one of two pokemon. Example: If I have a Nincada I want to put for trade, I'd have to submit two pokemon that people could give me in exhange for it, so I put up my Nincada and then request a Sandshrew or a Mankey. That way, the potential trader has two options to choose from instead of the one.

5. make it to where in the post-game, you can request ANY pokemon not just the ones you've seen already.

6. make it to where if you put up a common pokemon, you can't ask for a legendary. However, if you put up a legendary, you'd be able to request either a legendary or a common pokemon. There's no way a Rattata is worth an Entei.

I also agree with them blocking impossible requests. They can simply update the system if say, a lv.9 and under GTS tradeable Reshiram is ever made available.

Along with disallowing impossible requests and letting us scroll through all offers, it'd be be nice if there were a filter that let you see only the offers that you can fulfill. So say there's a few hundred offers for a Reshiram, it'd narrow it down to maybe a dozen requests you can fulfill with a Pokemon currently in your possession.

1. Everyone of us would love that, but I'm not sure if it's implementable.

2. THIS SO MUCH. Actually, I think it's way more practical than making exceptions for Reshiram lv.9 or similar.

3. "Nicknames represent original trainers feelings blah, blah". I disagree with that quote, but that's what we have and I don't think GF is willing to implement this.

4. Sounds great. It could be like GTS Negotiations, but without the pressure of decide against time.

5. I'd like, but I guess filling the Pokédex would become rather cheap.

6. Joey disapproves. Now talking seriously, I disagree, because: Since I can't count always with two DS, sometimes I use GTS to transfer Pokémon from a game to another, for example I want to pass my W1 Zekrom to W2. If I offer Zekrom asking for anything, the risk of losing it is high, so I offer some cheap Pokémon like Patrat from W2, asking a Zekrom (not level 9, obviously), and then taking the offer from W1. Nobody will search for Patrat, so I don't screw anyone else's search.

Speaking of nicknames I'd love to be able to search ONLY for nicknamed Pokemon. D8 I have 2 living Pokedexes, and all of them are nicknamed. ALL OF THEM. I think nicknames bring more meaning and individuality to a Pokemon. There are a million Bulbasaurs, but there is only one Bob the Bulbasaur. I'd rather search for nicknamed Pokemon. D:

I agree with the above, especially the whole impossible to fulfill 9 and under requests. They should program minimum levels for each species, so this never happens. Those that are part of an evolution family is easy to do (though some fully evolved 'mon do come in single-digit levels, like Porygon-Z, Clefable, and Roserade) though legendaries... That may need some coding.

They should fix the thing where you can't trade Pokémon with Classic Ribbons and Premier Ribbons on the GTS. This just really bugs me plus it would give people a chance to get Event Legends if they missed any of them.

I approve the thoughts of everyone else on this thread. I particularly want to search for Pokemon that aren't registered in my Pokedex yet. Some Pokemon are pretty hard to get for certain games, so this inclusion would help greatly. I do think the GTS could improve quite a bit, but that is one change I wish to see.

Like everyone else said, impossible requests should be disallowed, and they should give us more options to choose from. Also I hope they bring back that feature (glitch?) from Gen IV, being able to evolve Pokemon without actually trading them using the GTS.

As much as I would like to no longer see or hear of impossible trade requests, I don't really foresee it changing. It kind of seems a little difficult to program in, and besides, there's been times where legendaries have appeared as event Pokemon that are under their usual levels, and that could very well happen again.

It also won't stop people for asking for Xerneas in return for their goddang Rattata. There will always be ridiculous trade offers in any GTS.

They should allow us to search for Pokemon that we have not yet encountered, filter out all those impossible requests, (Seriously, just block any "level 9 and under" requests that cannot be obtained at that level, like Reshiram or even Skuntank.) Also, a better interface that shows you all offers, not just the top few for your desired Pokemon. Also, it would be great if they updated the interface to something more computer-like. It should show you the newest offers as if the GTS was a website, and you can filter results to find the Pokemon you want, and be able to see everything about the Pokemon. As well, you should be able to recieve multiple trade offers for your offering. For example, if you put your Scizor up for trade, instead of specifying you want a particular Pokemon and being stuck with whoever gives it to you first, different people could offer their Pokemon based on filters you set, like level, gender, species, shininess, etc. and you could choose which one you want. This way, opportunities could be greatly expanded.

Everyone else has had the good ideas already. Make it possible to trade for pokemon you haven't seen in some way, ban impossible requests, search through every offer. And that one where you can choose one of your own pokemon and search what others are offering for it.

6. make it to where if you put up a common pokemon, you can't ask for a legendary. However, if you put up a legendary, you'd be able to request either a legendary or a common pokemon. There's no way a Rattata is worth an Entei.
Well, that depends on the Rattata. Top percentage and all that. :p

In all seriousness, it would depend on how common that "common" Pokemon truly is. If it's a normal Rattata, then it may not be worth a Legend. If it's shiny, then we have a brand new kettle of fish over here. Same with any Dream World Pokemon. My Japanese DW Golurk cost me a Landorus when he was offered up as a level 12 Golett on GTS last summer. Most would pass up that sort of trade but I took the chance and got a great reward. Again, it might seem common but you never truly know.

I know it's been said multiple times on this thread, but I'll say it too--no more impossible trades. I am beyond sick of trying to get a legit Reshiram and being spammed with "Wanted: Zekrom Level 9 and Under" requests.

I would also like more filters like "Pokemon with/without nickname", "Shiny Pokemon", etc.

I'd prefer the GTS to be like the dream world. You upload the pokemon you want to the GTS. Then go on pokemon website and put the uploaded ones onto the trade page which would kind of be like an ebay for pokemon.
