Just curious because I was looking at their pokedex and I was surprised to see that they have the icons for Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, and Pipipek! Where were they obtained!?

Also they placed Passimion and Oranguru after Jangmo-o which I'm pretty sure that is incorrect as Jangmo-o is probably the generation's pseudo.

How do you think the dex will be ordered? We already know a few of them (hence with the E3) but I was wondering about these. Made a new thread because I didn't know where else to post.

I'm still not hot on the idea of Jangmo-o being the psuedo

I'd like this dex to fill out the national dex to #850 so Gen 8 can round us out to #1000 with 150 pokemon.

I don't think Alola will give us that many pokemon, though.

There's really not a whole lot to support that assumption just yet.

I mean it is pretty easy to guess just by comparison to Bagon's pokedex entry. From Pokemon Y, BWB2W2,DP, "
Its well-developed neck muscles and ironlike head can smash boulders into pieces.
Y Dreaming of one day flying, it practices by leaping off cliffs every day."

And Jangmo-o's description on the main site: "Jangmo-o has the pride of a warrior, although it remains humble about its capabilities. In its pursuit to become stronger, it never neglects its training."

Even his name means dragon. According to the bulbs, "Jangmo-o may derive from jangling and moʻo (Hawaiian for lizard or dragon)." He is literally the same height as Bagon.

I think it is a pretty safe guess that Jangmo-o will be our pseudo. Then again, GF is known to throw curve balls, but they love to throw dragon pseudo-legendaries at us anyway.

I am going with Jangmo-o being the pseudo. The Jangmo-o line would probably the last regular pokemon before the legendaries come after it.

Even if that's true (it's another rumour until proven), remember that the Gible and Goomy lines was placed nowhere near the region's legendary Pokémon. The Pokédex order can't and shouldn't be used to determine this generation's pseudo.

Another examples for this is Garchomp and Goodra, which is not near the legendaries in either regional or national Pokedex. So it's definitely possible for pseudo not to be the last common Pokemon.
Or this can be an evidence against Jangmo-o being the pseudo, which is good

Never realized Jamgno-o being a pseudo was such a hot topic o.o

I'm not seeing how Janmo-o isn't the pseudo legendary and I'd disagree, as my argument about him being pseudo waas more in the fact about he is more similar to Bagon than anything else, the fact that he is a basic stage dragon, has his dex entry go on and on about being a valliant warrrior etc. A better argument would actually be about whether or not he is the generation's Axew which is possible, in which everyone expected Haxorus to be a pseudo but failed to reach the 600 BST. I don't think that would bestow upon Jangmo-o due to his pokedex entries going on and an on about his warriorness, confidence, and his training.

If anything I would expect Type:Null to come near the end around the legendaries because it is an artificial pokemon. (I think porygon is near the end but not the last).

Yes, there is that similarity in the Pokédex entries, but also remember that all of the new Pokémon in this generation have been given very in-depth, personifying descriptions on the official site. And in any case, there's just that and the fact that it's a Dragon type, which pseudo-Legendary Pokémon do tend to be, and that's simply not enough to take it for granted, especially when we do have oddballs like Axew, Gible, and Goomy. Whereas at least with Solgaleo, Lunala, and Magearna, there is an unbroken, twenty-year history of precedent to suggest that they should be placed at the end of the Pokédex (and yes, there is Victini, but that had an in-story reason for being listed first, and it's a moot point now because we know that Rowlet is #722).

Also I'm not entirely sure how its name "literally meaning 'dragon'" is meant to strengthen your argument?

Either way, the site managers are just playing it safe for now. There's no benefit in trying to jump the gun here; it's just a list, and it'll be amended to be more accurate whenever official information becomes available.

Are you talking about this page? ナマコブシ|『ポケットモンスター サン・ムーン』公式サイト

In which case I wouldn't put much stock in that considering Pikachu and Eevee are right at the end of the list.

Also if it was in pokedex order you'd think they would have put Lycanroc after Rockruff.

Not to mention the mascot legendaries are listed right after the starters....

I think they are referring to Bulbapedia's National Pokédex list.

If that's the case, I'm pretty sure they just update the table with the recently revealed Pokémon before the legendaries which are known to be placed at the last part.

In short it's arranged according to reveal date except the legendaries and those shown in the trailers with their numbers.

No need to panic guys.

Noivern got a lot of pre-hype before Gen VI arrived, but it wasn't the generation's pseudo. Jangmo-o has this same vibe to it if you ask me. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a normal Pokémon.
