Has anybody noticed any gender differences on the sprites? I haven't, but of course there is the possibility that they're still working on the gender differences? Have their even been Pokemon of different gender but same species shown?

So yeah, thoughts? Do you think there will be gender differences for these new Pokemon? What do you think they might be?

Female Wobufetts look like they're wearing lipstick, Hipowdons are different colors, pikachu tails are different, magikarp/gyrados have differently colored whiskers. Just to name a few of the obvious ones.
I can't see why they'd stop doing that, if that's what you're wondering.

I think the person meant if there would be any new differences for Black and White of new Pokemon, not currently existing differences.

hopefully, this time around, the differences will be more obvious. some of the differences we have right now are barely noticeable.

I agree that I'd like to see more noticeable gender differences.

For example, female Ononokusu could have smaller blade-horn things.

I think that there are just not enough official photos of the new ones yet - most of them only have one or two official screenshots out. Likely those shots were taken at the same time too and just leaked gradually. I'm sure there will still be gender differences in Black and White. Oh, and there are Pokemon now that don't have differences too.

I would like to see bigger differences, and also see them in Sugimori art.

Though I wouldn't like to see older Pokemon that had no differences, get differences now, but I have a feeling that will happen.

Anyway, it's not a problem for me if they exist or not as long as they don't affect battles or whatever. :D

They perhaps have not shown us some of the differences yet. They may not show them to us since it's technically not a new feature.

I wish existing Pokemon had more obvious gender differences. Most of the time they're barely noticeable (apart from Hippowdon, which gets me every time, making me think I've found a shiny). Gender differences are a great concept, but they're used so rarely that they feel like a wasted opportunity at the moment.

XD Me too! It's annoying sometimes, isn't it?

I agree. They could do so much more with it. But if they do something like Wobbuffet's lipstick, I'll be mad, cos thats just stupid.

Thank you. It's nice to know some people get me.

I would like to see a species which has a different secondary type depending on gender. Even if it's for a rubbish and gimmicky pokémon.

How is that different from every other female Pokemon with horns?

True. I loved the female Garchomp in Diamond and Pearl because it had the notched fin (correct me if I'm wrong). Also, just to add, what happens if it winds up the female Ononokusu has bigger horns? Wouldn't that be awesome?

i've got a few ideas for the pokémon that have been revealed so far... and i disregard the sprites and their gender symbols on the screenshots we've seen :< they could still be beta.

chiramii: female -> smaller tail
mamepato: female -> smaller heart shape
shimama: female -> thicker stripes
meguroko: female -> middle stripe dark, rather than beige

I thought I saw gender differences on Chiramii, since we've seen a male and female. I think the female was fluffier than the male...I'll go back and look.
