• -- Alder's grandson is able to be battled in Blac City. You must battle up the Black Skyscraper to meet him
• -- Lenora gives you an evolution stone and will revive your fossils.
• -- The Striaton Trio can be fought after beating the league. All three are single battles.
• -- Hidden Power checker, move deleter and move relearner at World Tournament.
• -- The PC from BW is searching for N, according to their mum in Nuvema Town.
• -- Default name for the rival is Hue.
• -- Mei is the female PC's default name.
• -- The male player character's name is Kyouhei.
• -- Charles is blocking your way into Driftveil. You have to battle him.
• -- Homika's English name is Roxie.
• -- Banjirou is Alder's grandson and is the head of the Black Skycraper in Black City. He gives you a Gible if you beat him.

Team Plasma:

• -- The player meets Achroma in the finals of the World Tournament. Achroma has a Magneton.
• -- Achroma is confirmed to be a part of Team Plasma, and battles with the player. He team: Level 50 Magneton, Level 50 Magnezone, Level 50 Metang, Level 50 Beeheeyem, Level 52 Klinklang. He has his own battle music.
• -- Ghetsis' team: Cofagrigus lv.50 Eelektross lv.50, Drapion lv.50, Toxicroak lv.50, Seismitoad lv.50, Hydreigon lv.52
• -- The Six Sages of Team Plasma can apparently be battled.
• -- The Shadow Triad will be battled at some point and will use a Pawniard.

New Pokémon/Pokémon with hidden abilities

• -- Sandshrew, Budew, Roselia, Baltoy, Nosepass, Cleffa, Combee, Castform, Aron, Croagunk, Trapinch, Wailmer, Skarmory, Rattata, Zubat, Shuppet, Skorupi, Drifloon and Staryu lines all confirmed.
• -- Rattata and Zubat are found in sewers underneath Castelia City
• -- Eevee is found in a new park area in Castelia City
• -- DW pokemon found in-game through events: Minccino with Skill Link found in-game at Lv.20, you can obtain a Deerling with its Hidden Ability (Serene Grace), Amoonguss and Jellicent are also available.
• -- At some point in the game, you will face a lv.35 Volcarona. It is unknown if this is wild or not.
• -- You get N's Zorua in Driftveil. It's male at level 25 and it's new dex number is #151. The description says: "a somewhat rare Pokemon that is apparently friends with a certain trainer". N does not give you Zorua. It's received as a gift in Driftveil. Possibly after battling a sage. You also receive his Sigilyph and Pidove.

Legendaries

• -- Bianca talks about Heatran in a cave.
• -- Cobalion is battled in an outside area near Undella Town.
• -- Virizion can be encountered on what appears to be Route 11.
• -- Terrakion is found out in the open as well.
• -- Latias is in the game (So Latios will be too) and is found at the Dreamyard.
• -- Regigigas will be making an appearance.
• -- Black/White Kyurem is fought at Lv.55
• -- Uxie is in the game. It can be found outside the Nacrene Museum.
• -- Mesprit is at the top of the Celestial Tower following a request to search for them by Professor Juniper. It is Lv.65
• -- Cresselia is found on Skyarrow Bridge at Lv.68 after obtaining the Lunar Wing in the Strange House.
• -- Regirock, Regice and Registeel are confirmed. Battled at lv.65
• -- Griseous, Adamant and Lustrous Orb's located within Dragonspiral Tower.
• -- The Lati@s are level 68 when captured.

Pokewood:

• You're forced to participate in Pokewood after beating Homika.

World Tournament:

• -- The player is forced to compete at the World Tournament when you first get there.
• -- Cheren and your rival also take part in it. As does Achroma.
• -- Battle points (BP) are earned at the World Tournament.
• -- Evolution stones can be bought with BP - they cost 3 BP. Other items, such as Muscle Band, Scope Lens and Wide Lens cost 8 BP.
• -- Unova Gym Leaders do appear within the World Tournament. Drayden, Brycen and Shizui have been noted.
• -- It's currently unknown if their teams are completely set
• -- You earn 1BP from Unova Gym Leaders, 2BP from Kanto Gym Leaders
• -- Driftveil Tournament: All Pokémon at Lv 25
• -- Rental Tournament - Pokémon are randomly chosen for you like the Battle Factory
• -- Mix Tournament - All Pokémon at Level 50, can switch a Pokémon with your opponent before combat
• -- Unova Leaders - Battle Unova Gym Leaders at Level 50
• -- In one of the modes Roxanne, the Gym Leader of Rustboro City, is battlable
• -- More World Tournament modes unlocked World Leaders - Battle Leaders and Champions from around the world
• -- Rental Master - Another rental battle system, but with rarer and stronger Pokémon
• -- Type Expert is another of the World Tournament modes.
• -- After participating in a certain amount of battles in the World Leaders tournament, you then unlock the Champion's Tournament
• -- Champion's Tournament consists of Red, Blue, Lance, Steven, Wallace, Alder, Cynthia and the player.

Black City / White Forest:

• -- Black City now has the Black Skyscraper. It seems similar to the Battle Tower from previous games. You have to battle up the Skyscraper
• -- Alder's grandson, Banjirou, is the head of it. If you defeat him he gives you a Gible.
• -- White Forest has the White Woodland. Banjirou can be battled here aswell.
• -- You can swap between White Forest and Black City using the "key" system; it's the same method used to unlock difficulty levels, so requires two DS, two games and a local connection (won't work with W-Fi).

Moves; TMs/HMs/Move Tutors:

• -- Move Tutors return. There are a total of four and each one requires a different colour of shard.

Aesthetic changes

• -- After beating Drayden, the city freezes. To what extent Unova is frozen is not currently known.
• -- Not all areas are completely frozen. Virizion's route shows patches of ice and areas of grass.
• -- The player travels from Undella Town to Opelucid City.
• -- Castelia City now has sewers and a new park area

Miscellaneous

• -- You have to do a rotation battle in Driftveil. Another rotation in Chargestone Cave.
• -- Difficulty settings confirmed after beating the main game. Normal, Assist (easier setting) or Challenge (harder) modes.
• -- New restrictions for online battling: if you disconnect your rating will drop and you will be banned from battling for a short while.
• -- You can continuously use repel until you run out in your inventory. No need to keep selecting it after the first one wears off.
• -- The ability to move multiple Pokemon in the PC is back
• -- The battle box hasn't changed
• -- You can transfer pokemon as soon as you have the C-Gear.
• -- You can use the Xtranceiver to call other characters and they will tell you information:
• Mum: She will tell you information about your current location.
• Bianca: She will tell you the happiness levels of your team.
• Cheren: Will tell you the types and abilities of the pokemon in your party.
• Prof. Juniper: Will rate your Pokedex.
