After reading through a couple of posts that were interesting I decided to make this thread. In a couple of generations I would like to see a game that combines all of the regions into one big world. The story could be massive, start out in whatever region you want, choose your starter and battle gym leaders, fight the native evil team and continue onto the Elite 4, after that you choose what region to go to next and complete that region's gyms, evil team and elite 4. It would be fun, they could make it so there is one big story line or how the Anime plays out where none of the story line follows over from region to region. There are a couple of problems with my general idea like team galactic, aqua and magma being defeated but they could always try again. If they really wanted to go out on this game they could even add in Orre even if it is just there to catch Pokemon or for a part of the story.

I know people will hate the idea of this but I'd like to hear people opinions on a game like this or if they had anything they would like to add or take away from my idea or if they had a similar idea.

I think just about everyone has fantasized at one point of a single game including all the previous regions together, but if that ever comes a reality is anyones guess.

This gets brought up a lot. Since creating new regions would start to get a little hard what with Japan being used up (and no way am I getting my pacific northwest region) then GF is probably going back to older regions, assuming Pokemon is around that long. Although we do like the idea of an all-region game, it would probably be a console game (no complaints there) and more than likely wouldn't happen (there I complain).

Yeah, a console game would almost be necessary for it to be as awesome as I would want it but I prefer a console to a hand held game so I might be biased. But that Japan point is a good one, if they go back to old regions that would be cool but after that what? I guess remakes but this would be much more rich in a gaming experience and could expand the Pokemon universe so much. I can't imagine more than two more new regions for the main Pokemon series, sure they can add a couple of more for side games like the ranger series but after that I wish they would resort to an uber, region, amazing game like my idea. Besides if Nintendo would want to make a lot of money this is the way to go. :ching::ching:

Hey, let's start speculating about generations 8 and 9 too! [/sarcasm]

An all region game doesn't sound likely but we could still have some older regions with the new region in the future (like Gen 5 region and Sinnoh after it).

Would it be awesome? Extremely.
Would it bring in a large enough market to justify the effort and time it would take? Almost certainly not.
