This is my new fanfic called 'Generation X'. It is not based on the new Gen V, but will have some pokémon and characters. Anyway, let's begin.

PS. The 'X' part will be properly revealed soon.

Chapter One:
New World, New Beginnings
Leon, the pale coloured boy, woke up, his arms stretching out to their full limit as he let out a huge yawn. He sat up onto the bed, pulling open the purple silk curtains that covered his window. He glanced at the green field about twenty yards from the window, red and blue flowers swaying in the wind. A yellow Combee buzzed about the field, finding sweet nectar for his queen.

Leon jumped out of the bed, leaving the bed untidy as he ran out of his room, stairs right in front of him. He turned right, walking into the next room- his mother was sleeping in the bed that was placed in the middle of the room. He turned round, finally heading back to stairs, running down them at a swift pace. He then jumped over the final step, landing onto the smooth, creaky wooden floor.

He then stepped into the main room, switching the television on as he sat down onto the black leather sofa. He changed the channel number on the remote, and then sat back, waiting for the television show to begin. After a while, he got bored of the show, so he walked back to the television, switched it off, and ran up the stairs so that he could have a shower and get changed. “Woohoo! Today’s the day I become a Pokémon Trainer!”

~TR Base, Toxico City~

The Boss sat down on his spinning chair, looking at his computer to complete his work on the team’s plan. The intercom switched on with a beep, as a voice from it said ‘bzzt- Sir, we have completed our research on the Fenna region.’ “Go on, then.” The Boss said into the intercom, “I didn’t return to Team Rocket for any reason. TELL ME YOU’RE RESEARCH!” ‘bzzt- A-a-alright, sir. It’s the Sinna Ruins, sir. The six rocks in that circle- they produce magnetic electricity.’

The Boss tapped his creamy pink fingers onto his computer table. “Oh.” A voice came out of the intercom again, ‘bzzt- This way, we can use the ruins as a magnet, so we can attract our pokémon into the circle, and then that’ll be the right time to catch it. And that’s our plan. Over and out, sir’.’

“Brilliant.” Giovanni chuckled to himself. “It’s all falling into place.”

~Sherwood Town~

Leon slammed the oak door behind him, starting his short trip to the Pokémon Lab at the other side of town to get himself a starter pokémon. He walked up the path, and then turned left at a sharp corner, placing his freezing cold hands into his pockets. “Should I choose the grass, fire, or water starter? They’ve all got the same strength, but different types of power. I think I’ll choose the fire type…”

“Well, I’ll choose the water type.” Said a mysterious girl, greeting Leon as she walked over to him. “My name’s Dafne, but you can call me Daffy.” Her brown hair brushed across her shoulders as she stared at Leon. “I’m sorry for creeping up on you like that. It’s because we’re both going to the same place. Anyway, what are you doing as a Pokémon Trainer? Are you going to challenge the eight gyms across the region?”

“Yes, hopefully.” He faced Dafne again, maybe indulged in her great looks. “I heard that the first gym is a rock-type gym. Just like every region.”

“I’m going to be a co-ordinator. You see, there’s a contest hall in every city where there’s a gym. And once a co-ordinator get’s at least five ribbons, that co-ordinator can travel to Ever Grande City for a place in the Grand Festival.”

“Ever Grande City? That’s in the Hoenn region! Why would contests in Fenna finish up in a different region?”

“Ever Grande City always holds the Grand Festival and the Pokémon League Championship, just like how the Johto gyms have their championship held in Kanto. Plus, a cave links Hoenn and Fenna together, so challengers can easily travel to the finals. That cave is called ‘Fenn Cave’.”

Leon and Dafne walked to the bottom of the street, where the ‘Sherwood Pokémon Lab’ was placed. Leon walked up the path towards the door, knocking on the smooth wooden surface politely. He heard a few footsteps, just when a man opened the door in a very good manner.

The man opened the door, just when a black and white bird flew through the opened gap, spreading its small wings out. “Fal! Fal! Falgrine!” The falcon pokémon landed on Dafne’s left shoulder, trying to get a little thread out of her pink jumper with its beak. “Fal? Falgrine!” It flew back to its master, the man. “Falgrine!” It said to its master, landing on the man’s shoulder.

The man stroked the falcon pokémon’s head, whistling a small tune to the Falgrine to keep it calm. “Well, hello there!” The man said to Leon and Dafne, while placing the pokémon onto the floor. “I’m the local professor based in Fenna. Professor Redwood’s my name.” He said, while letting the two kids into his lab. “I collect pokémon so that I can test them, train them, and give lesser-experienced ones to new trainers.”

Leon and Dafne followed Professor Redwood through the narrow hall, photos of his friends scattered over the wall. “Umm, Professor Redwood?” Dafne asked, as Professor Redwood turned round to answer Dafne, just as Falgrine flew back through the hall, “Who are the photos of?”

“Good question. These people…” Professor Redwood said, as he pointed at the first of the photos, “Are the other main professors of the Pokémon World. Of course, there are others, but I and these professors are the main ones. I’ve put these photos up so that people can see the professors that have helped research for the different regions.” He pointed at the first photo, of a grey haired old man, “This is Professor Oak. He’s the professor of the Kanto region. He’s the grandfather of Green Oak, you know.”

He pointed at the second photo. “This is Professor Elm. I’m a great friend of his. He works in the Johto region. This, on the other hand, is Professor Birch.” He moved his hand to the left to show the third photo to Leon and Dafne. “He works in the Hoenn region.” He then showed the final photo. “And this, the final of the four, is Professor Rowan. He’s friends with Samuel Oak. Well, I think I’ve taught you enough. Come into this room, and you can choose your first pokémon.”

Leon and Dafne followed Redwood to the main room, where table with three pokéballs was placed. “Okeydokey, then.” Professor Redwood said. “I’ll show you the pokémon that are availible.” He pressed the button on each pokéball, allowing a pokémon to be released from each one.

On the very left of the table was a green pokémon, which had one horn, about two inches high. “Tor! Top Top! Torotop!” The red pokédex on by the computer to the left of the room blinked red as a voice came from it, ‘Torotop, the Baby Triceratops pokémon. This pokémon uses it single horn to fend off pokémon.’ It quickly ran over to Leon, confused as to why a boy triple the size of itself was doing in its home.

In the middle of the table was a reddish brown pokémon, which was a meteorite, fire steaming out of the holes in its shell. “Mag! Mag! Magmarite!” It floated about, before going to Dafne to view her beautiful, brown silky hair. The pokédex was triggered once again, ‘Magmarite, the Meteorite pokémon. This pokémon was originally discovered in Stark Mountain. its magma can exceed a temperature of 300c.

The final pokémon, at the right of the table, was of a light blue colour. It had the body of a dolphin, with a star at the end of its long tail. “Dolph, Dolph! Dolphstar!” Short legs came out its body, as it quickly walked over to Dafne, staring at Torotop angrily. ‘Dolphstar, the Dolphin pokémon. The star on the end of its tail confuses even the wisest of foes. When it isn’t in water, legs are released from its body to help it walk about.

“Ok.” Leon said, wisely choosing which starter pokémon he was going to have, “I’ll pick Torotop.” He went down onto his knees, stroking the adorable pokémon, “Do you want to go on a journey, Torotop?”

“I’ll choose this awesome little guy then.” Dafne picked up Dolphstar, touching its star tail curiously. “And that’s ok with you, right?”

“That’s it then.” He grabbed two pokédexes and a dozen pokéballs. “Collect data on any pokémon you see. All data will automatically be sent to my computer, so that I can find interesting things about any pokémon. Use the pokéballs to catch any pokémon you want. You can buy more balls at the PokéMart. Also, take these.” Professor Redwood said, handing Leon a guidebook. “That guidebook has detailed maps on locations in the Fenna region. It also shows the pokémon that are most likely to appear in each area. Ok, that’s enough talking for one day. Head out that door, and start your pokémon journey!”

Leon and Dafne returned their newly acquired pokémon into their respective pokéballs, before walking through the small hall, and then heading out the door.

Chapter Two:
The Sick Pokémon! Zorua!!

Leon and Dafne walked up a short path to get straight out of Sherwood Town, both their hometown. They passed a sign saying ‘Route 301- Road to Your Adventure!’, as the different bug pokémon squirmed and wriggled through the short grass. They turned to the left, just when they found a big field with flowers swaying this way in that in the wind. Both trainers released their pokémon so that they could be trained.

“Go, Torotops!” Leon said, as his Torotops was released from its pokéball in a blinding red flash. “Right, Torotops! Time to train, Torotops!” Leon and his pokémon ran through the field eagerly, with Dafne and her Dolphstar exhaustingly following them. Leon stopped running, just as Wurmple appeared on the scene. “Ok, Torotops! That’s an easy pokémon to defeat… I think. Let’s see what Dexter has to say about it!”

‘Wurmple, the Worm pokémon.’ The pokédex said, as the Wurmple cowardly tried to get away. ‘This pokémon is very cowardly and weak. Approach with caution, as it’s String Shot is very difficult to get away from.’

“Torotops, use Tackle!” Torotops brushed its back leg on the field, before charging into Wurmple at a very fast speed. ‘Top Top Top TOP!’ Torotops smashed into Wurmple, leaving it to fly wildly in the air.

‘…Wurm… Wurmple…’ The bug pokémon said quietly, its mouth glowing a blue colour, ‘Pul……Pul…Pul...PUL!!!’ String shot out of its mouth at 100mph, hitting Torotops before Leon could even see what was happening. ‘Wurm! Wurmple!’ The pokémon cheered, happy that it hit its opponent.

‘Torotops’ speed has been lowered.’ The pokédex announced.

“Torotops don’t worry! I’m sure everything will be fine! Hey… where’s Dafne?”

~The Other Side of Route 301~

Dafne angrily stomped through the grass, annoyed by the fact that Leon had completely ignored her. “Stupid Leon… Typical boy…” She said, looking at Dolphstar for a moment to check that it was alright. “He doesn’t care about me, does he, Dolphstar? When I was talking about me being a coordinator, he didn’t even listen. {check chapter 1, pokéfans!} We might as well be rivals… Hey, wait a minute… Leon has the guide! I’ll get lost without Dafne!”

Dafne started running with her Dolphstar, so that she could get back to Leon. She felt something yank her foot, just as she tripped over it. She fell onto the ground, turning round to see she just tripped on a stick. She sighed with relief, just when she felt something touch her back. She turned round, to see a red pokémon. “Oh, hi there, little buddy! Look, Dolphstar! We’ve got a friend! Let’s see what Dextette will say about it!”

‘Lepipillar, the Caterpillar pokémon’ The pokédex said, as the Lepipillar crawled around Dafne’s leg. ‘This immature pokémon will become friends with the first human it sees.’

“Ah, that’s cute!” She let the pokémon crawl over her lengthy arm. “Your friends with me then, right?” ‘Lep Lep!’ “I take that as a yes!” She put one of her pokéballs onto the ground, the Lepipillar walking into it by itself. “Yes! Dolphstar, we caught ourselves a Lepipillar!”

The pokédex flashed again, ‘The capture has triggered some new information. This pokémon is of a Bug type.’

~Back at Leon’s side of Route 301~

“Looks like Dafne’s lost.” Leon checked the Route 301 page near the start of the ‘Fenna Guide’, “I think Dafne’s in the right side of the forest, whereas we’re in the west.” He traced his finger over the map, “And both paths lead into the exit of Route 301, so if we keep on walking, we’ll meet Dafne in no time.” Leon started walking up the path to the exit of the route, only to see a Weedle eating some fruit at the bottom of a tree. “Ok, Torotops!” Leon faced his pokémon, which was by his side. “This’ll be the last battle of the day, I promise!”

‘Weedle, the Hairy Bug pokémon.’ The pokédex said, ‘The poison in its sting can only be cured by a certain type of medicine when induced in humans.’

“Right, Torotops! Razor Leaf!’ Leon asked, as sharp leaves shot out of Torotops’ shell. ‘Top Top!’ All the leaves hit Weedle, which collapsed on the ground immediately after being hit. “Well, I know that Weedle haven’t got a very high defense, but this is just ridiculous! Go, pokéball!” Leon threw one of his pokéballs at the Weedle, a red flash engulfing the pokémon. The Weedle struggled a bit, before finally giving in.

Leon looked at his Torotops, ordering it to follow him so that he and his pokémon could find there way to Dafne.

~Five minutes later, by the exit of Route 301~

Leon walked down the sloping hill to see Dafne and her Dolphstar. “Hey there, Dafne. I caught a Weedle while you weren’t with me.” He threw the pokéball onto the ground, releasing the Weedle from its home. “There ya go. I returned my Torotops into its pok♪éball because it was tired.” The Weedle crawled up at Leon’s back, finally resting on his shoulder. “So, what did you do?”

“Well, I caught a Lepipillar.” She faced her starter pokémon, stroking it on its head. “Didn’t I, my little Dolphie?” A whimpering sound came from the bush by her side. “What’s that sound?” She bent over some leaves in the bush, taking out the pokémon that lay inside it. “Oh my god! It’s a sick pokémon!”

The grey and red pokémon hissed at Dafne, jumping out her arms immediately. ‘Zor! Zor! Zorua!!’ The pokémon fell down onto the ground, whimpering and squealing as if it was sick or wounded.

Leon checked his pokédex, ‘Zorua, the monster fox pokémon. Not much is known about this pokémon.’

“I know what we could do, Dafne.” Leon carried the sick pokémon in his arms, fighting against its squirming about, “We’ll have to go the next town, and heal the pokémon while we’re there at a PokéCenter. We could then use one of the videophones, and tell Professor Redwood about what we found. Come on!”

~Sweetshore Town Pokémon Center~

Leon and Dafne ran into the Pokémon Center, passing the sick pokémon over the counter to the nurse on the other side. She called her Chansey to come and help her. She then passed the pokémon into the computer tray, so that it could detect information to help them treat its illness. “Right, this is a Zorua.” She took the Zorua out of the tray, and more information appeared on the computer screen. “It’s a dark pokémon, so it must stay in a darkly lit room so it can heal properly. Also, give it some Oran Berries to heal it, Chansey.” She faced Leon and Dafne, “Where did you find the Zorua?”

“Route 301, Nurse Joy.” Dafne said, “We found it in a bush, whimpering and squealing.” She saw a videophone to the right of the room, and then said, “Hey, look there, Leon! A videophone! We can tell Professor Redwood about the pokémon!” She turned back to Leon, but he had gone. “Leon? Leon!? LEON!!!!!!!!!”
