Can someone please help me with this, I've either fucked up my game or uncovered some information.

I made my own .pkm file which carries Genesect in it (won't be giving it out so don't ask n_n...) I go to the place just before our home town and surf around, find the weird huge warehouse (Laboratory) like thing and go in - in which i just researched a little about, the rest of my story can be found here: P2 Laboratory - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia

Okay so that isn't the crisis. The crisis is as soon as I recieve the discs and fight the dude, I walk outside and head to the left 3 steps, then turn around (facing the right) and go back 3, then walk back inside, and my Genesect becomes shiny. Any other order and it does not happen.

Can someone please explain this to me? It makes no sense. I have even asked my friend *who is good at making .pkm files perfectly, and made sure they had no faults in which could possibly cause Genesect to become shiny* to create his own, in which it becomes shiny as well.

Could this be my game? Or could this be some sort of event-exclusive thing. If it is that'd be a bit stupid considering then almost everyone will have a shiny Genesect if they figured this out.

Someone with KNOWLEDGE of this games coding please reply with some in-depth explanation to why this is happening :/. I have tried making numerous .pkm files for Genesect but the same result. I have tried other ones made by different people as well.

I'm not very knowledgeable, but maybe the code for some reason glitches like that due to whatever way you're injecting it into the game. It's possible that the game somehow mishandles the .pkmn file and activates some crazy string of misplaced code that would make Genesect shiny after a very specific amount of steps in that one spot. It's really rare for something like that to happen, but it could be a possibility. there wouldn't have to be anything wrong with the code, either. Just the game going, "Uhhh, what?" and fudging it up, since I doubt they'd leave a glitch like that in the game for an official Genesect they release to activate it.

@Taither

I assumed it may be because of the misconfliction between real/non-real coding which would be the equivalent of my Genesect and the in-game Genesect (which may be released or may not be in the data the game already has). buuuuuuuut, the disc thing works which makes be believe it could be a new like discovery.
