I saw the clip from Pokemon DP where Ash and co. react to Team Rocket so nonchalantly. They were so jaded and meta that it was genuinely funny and it's a wonder why they don't do it often.

Anyone know any other moments in the Anime where it's predictable enough for the characters to know where something's going.

Well the most episode I can think of was when TR kidnapped Professor Sycamore to get some data on mega evolution. When Ash and Clemont catch up to them and TR goes into their motto, Ash and Clemont completely ignore them and just go straight to freeing their friends.

This should happen more often. I understand Ash and co. acting naïve when TR is wearing good disguises, but sometimes, it's pretty obvious it's them, to the point that it's annoying to see them react as if nothing could go wrong. Anyone has the screenshot where TR is simply wearing an open robe over their uniforms and Ash and co. still fall into their trap?
I'm not saying that they should always act savvy when TR appears, but at least they should recognize some scenarios that TR have already attempted to try. A simple "I knew it was you all the time!" could be enough. PLEASE WRITERS!
