Hey, I'm Will. I came here from a smaller forum called Wiispace that seems to be on kind of a downhill slope (I promise you I have nothing to do with it), so I'm checking out real estate on other forums. I'm a pretty unhealthy Pokemaniac, so the Bulbagarden forums seem like a good start.

I'm assuming it would be helpful for some of you to know my history with the games so...
I was pretty successful in most of the games that I've owned (BY,GSC,RE,FRLG,DP), Especially my Gold version (so many shinies) which I probably clocked in almost 1000 hours on before if finally corrupted a few months back. (R.I.P. Raikou, shiny Gligar :-() and I almost completed my Dex in Diamond before I tried to reset my Leaf Green but ended up resetting it instead. (One of several reasons I don't drink anymore, lol) so I'm hoping to have a nice fresh start with HeartGold when Amazon finally delivers it.

One little caveat though, I'm kind of a, scratch that, total noob when it comes to WiFi though since I can't get it to work from my house even though we do have wireless internet. So if there's anything special you need for Nintendo WFC any help would be appreciated.

I don't really want this to become a wall of text, so I'll cut my introduction short but If anyone wants to know more about me or chat I love meeting new people so I'll happily oblige.

and with that...

I would like to Welcome you to the forums.

You sure have played a good majority of the Pokemon games. The only ones I think you are missing are Red, Sapphire, and Platinum.

A lot of people have a hard time getting Wi-Fi to work. The easiest way I think would to go get the USB Wi-Fi connector sold by Nintendo.

No. We don't want you here. Get out. You fail. You live in the redneck capital of the united states.

...

Nah, kidding. Interesting running into you here Will. Glad to talk to you again.

I was afraid of that. I always end up spending my money on other things before I remember that I still need the USB device.

Not quite. We still haven't reached the same level of redneck Umatilla has. Ever heard of "rabbit kickin'"?

Speaking of running into each other, the other day I had to run to the high school, and when I said "hi" you ignored me. IT'S LIKE YOU DON'T EVEN CARE ANYMORE!!!

lol, I kid. It's probably a bit harder to recognize me with longer hair and a beard anyway.

Welcome to BMGf. It's surprising that you already know Ryuutakesh!

lol, at first I wasn't totally convinced it was him, but then I noticed his signature flatcap, which formerly belonged to one of my other friends who I believe left it in the Forensics classroom when he graduated.

Well, since you do have wireless it could be possible for you to connect to Wi-Fi without a USB device. You just have to check if you have WEP or WPA. You just check it by turning on the game and on the main menu screen selecting "Nintendo WFC Settings". Then you just select a Connection (such as "Connection 1") then select "Search for an Access Point".

I hope that helps you some, just let me know if you need more help.

Hey man. Welcome to the forums. And I as well have played a ton of Pokemon Games in my years. I mean a ton. I played all the games on the Game Boy Color and on the Game Boy Advance SP. And I played and owned Pokemon Snap. I really did not like that game at all. But I hope you enjoy your stay here.
