German Gameshow Marathon

Germany is having a Gameshow Marathon (just like the US did last year).

The first installment is Germany's Price is Right, named Der Preis ist Heiss (The Price is Hot).

This is the intro of that episode. You will notice that they use the same theme as the US version, with these subtle differences:

1. The chase lights are purple/pink (Perhaps to match the Gameshow Marathon color scheme).

2. The chase lights are moving clockwise instead of counter-clockwise in the US Version.

3. They do not use the "Come on Down" cue during the opening, they only use the show's theme.

4. They use curtains instead of doors.

5. There are two hosts instead of one.

6. The opening titles are much more animated.

Interesting. They have the basic mechanics of the show the same, just some odd differences. The ones you mentioned, and the fact that they don't go straight into showing the item up for bid...but rather reading some book, and having an audience interaction. Whatever floats their boats I guess.
