Get another chance to catch Gigantamax Snorlax when it returns for a Max Battle Day on Sunday, December 14th

Gigantamax Snorlax makes its return this month as the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's final Max Battle Day for 2025 on Sunday, December 14th, running as usual from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Lucky Trainers may also encounter Gigantamax Snorlax in its Shiny variant during this event.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonuses will be active during the event hours:

• Max Particle collection limit increased to 1600
• All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.
• Power Spots will refresh more frequently
• Trainers will receive 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
• Trainers can make an additional two Special Trades

The following bonuses will be active from 12:00am to 5:00pm local time:

• Trainers will receive 2× Max Particles from exploring
• Trainers will require only 1/4 Adventuring distance to receive Max Particles

The following bonuses will be active from December 13th, at 5:00pm, through to December 14th, at 8:00pm (PDT):

• The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20

Free Timed Research
A free Timed Research opportunity will be available to Trainers starting Monday December 8th at 6:00am local time. On completion, this Timed Research will reward Trainers with an encounter with Dynamax Machop, as well as Machop Candy and Max Particles to assist trainers in building up their teams to take on Gigantamax Snorlax.

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before December 14th, at 5:00pm local time.

Event Ticket and Paid Timed Research
Trainers can purchase an event-exclusive ticket for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency), which grants access to event-exclusive Timed Research that will be effective on December 14th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Trainers completing this research will receive a Max Mushroom, and 25,000 XP.

Additionally, ticket holders will also receive the following bonuses during the event:

• 2× XP from Max Battles
• Max Particle collection limit increased to 5,600

This ticket will only be available in the in-game shop until 5:00pm local time on December 14th. Trainers may gift this event-exclusive ticket to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box
A Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box will be available for purchase on the Pokémon GO Web Store for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This box includes an event ticket, and a bonus Premium Battle Pass.
