Getting stuck (lost)

I get really aggitated when I get lost. I feel like a bad gamer, and when I use a guide, the answer is usually obvious. Anyway, I wouldnt say I get lost "often", but every so often it happens. AT LEAST once in every metroid/zelda game I have played. Anyway I have two questions.

1. Do you get lost often?

2. Do you consider using a guide "cheating"?

For LoZ, heck yes I do get lost..I have to use a bloody walkthrough.

I've gotten stuck many times. I'll try to get past it and if it takes me about a gazillion tries sometimes I'll stop playing for awhile. I usually attempt again in a few months when that's the case.

As for guides, I don't use them but I don't care if anyone else does.
