Anyone here believe in ghosts?
Anyone have any ghost stories to tell?
Post 'em, why don't you? I'd like to hear them!

I've got several stories, but I'll just write one for now...

There is this school by my house that I think is haunted, because a little girl died there the year it opened. My brother and I sometimes walk down there at night, and it is extremely eerie.

You get the feeling you're being watched... and sometimes you hear foot steps in in the hall behind you.

The hall has a tin roof covering to keep out the rain. My brother and I were under there, and we were already getting spooked. My brother decided he would "provoke a ghost."

I won't go into details of what he said, but it wasn't nice... and it was about the girl's mother. I began to get after him for saying that, but I was interrupted bu a loud BANG! from the top of the roof, exactly above us. One would think that that would be enough to shut him up, but no, he decided to continue.

At the last insult, something big happened. There were a series of loud
BANG!s from the roof, just as though someone was pounding with fists or feet upon the roof.

We ran like hell. We were so freaked out about what happened, that we went to a grocery store across from the school, just to be around light and people.

Well, the place where I live is haunted. My mom said she had an item in one spot, no one living moved it. It was in a different spot. My dad's said he's heard a little girl laughing upstairs. My doll was on this little piano in front of my bed. She was too far away for me to kick her and if she did fall she would of fell on the floor (there's a gap between the piano and the bed.) She didn't fall on the floor, she fell on my bed. I also thought I seen a man one night and it wasn't my dad.

My mom has some weird stories about when she was a little girl. Her mom and her seen a door knob shake, yet no one was behind the door. She's also seen a shadow man before. Someone had a very violent death in that house so whoever died was probably the one who shook the door knob.

That's creepy. Reminds me of my house.
My house is wierd, because it is only 11 years old, but it is very haunted.
I've seen a woman with a victorian dress, a little boy, a little girl, a tall man with a black suit and a beard, numerous shadow people, and my brother saw a ghost cat. There have been items disappearing (including my fire red game pack, which turned up in a very unlikely place), wierd smells (like cigar and cigarette smoke, and nobody here smokes), loud noises, and even an occaisonal scream. My brother got a small piece of "meat" thrown at him. That had to be the sickest think that has happened. I saw it a few minutes after, it was all brown and rotten loking. Apparently it was fresh when it nearl hit him (it later disappeared without a trace).

All of it is scary, aggrovating, and exciting at once.

My house isn't haunted, but in alot of pictures I take, there are white figures in the background(Especially the photos taken around Halloween). So, I don't know.

Yup! My house was built maybe seven years ago... A short while later (maybe a year?) I heard a male voice whisper from the entrance of my room when I was in bed. I went along with it and asked "what?". Then the ghost either repeated himself or stopped whispering, I don't remember. I also don't remember what he looked like, although I'm pretty sure I saw him for a second.

Also, on Christmas Eve, my older sister heard movement and rattling from the living room. She got out of bed and went to the hallway balcony that's aboce the living room and riiiiight next to my room. Figuring it was my dad laying out the Christmas gifts, she went over to the parents' bedroom right across from mine, and... they were both in the bed, zomg. She freaked out and searched the entire house with my dad but they couldn't find anything. Also, the rattling turned out to not be her imagination: all three of us kids got Nerds. Spooky!

Later, I've heard about my neighborhood's origin. Appearantly the land was owned by an old couple who lived in a house that doesn't exist anymore. In its place is a house that faces a different direction. That house is my next door neighbor's house. Anyway, its much closer to the road than any other home on the street. The reason being that the old couple wouldn't allow a tree in the backyard to be cut down. Why? Because if the tree is cut down, the ghost (!) would get angry.

So, yes, haunted! I hope he doesn't get mad that I like to spread this story. XD

Sorry, no spooky tales from the dead. But I have a poltergeist! But he's a perve, really.

-_- Well, um, no story, just thought I should write about it.

Santa Clause?!!?!!?11!? XD

Err no ghost stories for me :( but me and my father, or sometimes just me go down to some of the cemeteries here in town and take pictures in random spots and we have had some pretty interesting stuff show up in the pictures, some things to strange to be a dust particle or bug... I also am fortunate enough to live close to the town of Tombstone (its supposed to be very haunted... they even went there on ghost hunters, but I havent got a chance to drive down there yet) But I would bet on getting some neat pictures when I do. :D

YES!

I saw one at a Summer Camp on Friday the 13th. That pretty much has been embedded in my mind forever.

Nothing else. I want to see another one.

Yup! XD Whoever my ghost is, he seems to have a sense of humor.

I had just skimmed over this before, but now having re-read it fully... wow. o.o That's absolutely terrifying!

ouija boards

me and my friends have done about 2-4 ouija boards and have sucsesfuly comunicated with ghosts 6-7 times. some have been friendly, however some threatened us by spelling out y-o-u-w-i-l-l-p-a-y.

believe me though, i had my doughts on weather they work or not but i was so suprised, communicating to something i couldnt explain.

they are easy to make all you need is a few friends, a glass, a table, some paper and a pen. However, i strongly recomend you DO NOT TRY IT, as you dont fully understand who you are talking to.

If I ever meet a ghost I plan on immediately performing either Thriller or Monster Mash.

Or play Yugioh with it.

Most experts on the paranormal say NEVER USE A OUIJA BOARD. They apparently open so called "portals" or "vortexes" to The Other Side, and you might let something in...

One night my mom was messing with one, and something happened. My little brother woke up screaming, just minutes after she used it, and he said something whispered something in his ear.
That's something that happens here as well. One time I was looking out the back window, because I thought I heard someone walking in the gravel on the side of our house, and as I looked out there something whispered in my ear "Alex..." (which is my name). I was sooo freaking scared, cause I was home alone. I had to go outside for a while, even though it was freezing.

i agree with you. ever since the one nasty spitit, my friends mum heard breathing whilst she was ironing. also, my friends dad woke up in the middle of the night after he heard something too. these occurences where in the same house we did the ouija board. i try not to think about it too much incase i start to get paranoid.

I'm wondering if my house is haunted BECAUSE of the ouija board? It may be the history of the land. There may have been a house around here in the 1800's. This area used to be covered in orange groves... But before that, it was a highly spiritual area for Indians. There is a lake a mile or so away from us that was rumored to house an indian god, a sort of giant turtle called Korputat. They cemented over the original lake, but what if he's still under there?
My mom likes to pin the hauntings on the fact that this used to be Indian land and might be "cursed." (I don't believe that)
My neighbors both said that they have seen shadow people. One of them said that she saw a tall bearded man in a black suit... Interesting because everyone in my house except me have seen that as well...
Very strange...

Oh yeah, I remembered something about the school near me... I'll wait until later to post that. Nobody's going to believe it!

FREAKY
Ok you guys are freakin me out!
i think it all superstition.. :mallet:

Good God, Typhlosion! How can you possibly sleep at night? *_*

I have no storys but I think sometimes that ghost truly exist! But if you believe in ghost you may end up in seing one! But some elements that your mind captures makes you feel, see and hear many weird and rare things! Like for example:

Brain
Fear
Thoughts of ghosts

This elements mix into your mind and makes you feel that all those things are real!
