Ghosts: We need more of them!

There are a total of 26 ghost types, 13 of them being NFEs or other forms such as the rotoms and giratina-O. Plus, I dont think you should count arceus in ghost form as a true ghost type.

Ghost types I believe have the best lore and some of the best potential but there are so few! I say we need more ghost types, maybe a fire ghost type, other then the living microwave.

So, discuss, do we really need more ghost types?

Lastly: Drifloon FTW!
 
We need more Ghost, Ice and Steel types. I put all the Pokémon together in a list today, and those three had the least.

Also, why isn't there a Fire/Ghost yet? Will-o-Wisps people...
 
I'd love to see the first Ghost-Fire type! I bet it would be cute and pack a punch, like Rotom!
 
I think Ninetales should have been part ghost. It can live for thousands of years according to the pokedex. Ghosts can live forever and a thousand years is a long time to exist, kinda ghostly if you ask me.

...well maybe we'll get something similar, like a willow-the-whisp or a floating candle light!
 
We need more ghost and more single-type darks.

Maybe they could create a fire/ghost evolution for vulpix, and a fire/dark one for growlithe.

That'd be something to see! However, it just seems to much like rotom.

Could work.

X=new pokemon

Vulpix + dusk stone = X
Vulpix +fire stone= ninetales

Growlithe + dusk stone= X
Growlithe + fire stone= Arcanine
 
I want a haunted car,maybe in a new rotom form... and a haunted skeleton pokemon...have we had haunted skeletons?as in...bones only moving by themselves?my memory is failing me....Ooor...how about a dragon´s skeleton?then we could have a dragon/ghost type!...and maybe it could be the pseudo-legendary...

There is a looot of potential,I do want more ghosts :p
 
i like it that they don't add many ghost types in every gen
it makes them special
 
I definitely concur... there's not too many ghosts, and so all of them are commonly used by everyone (well, maybe not Sableye. No one likes Sableye. Except for me :D)... If GameFreak added more ghost-types, it'd add a lot more flexibility within the game. :D
 
What I like about Rotom is that it sets the precedent for any energy or element-based Pokemon to exist as a half-ghost type. Of all the water types there are, not one is actually based on WATER. A water/ghost could be that. (I also like the skeleton fish idea, though.)
 
Anyone ever see that fakemon on dA which was, iirc, ghost/water? The final evo was called 'Bowreck' or something like that and anyway what i am saying is it was pretty impressive. Hold on let me track it down Ah Yes

Which sparks the idea for a haunted sunken ship or a haunted house in Gen V
 
We need more Ghost Pokemon that don't look like stereotypical ghosts. See the Drifloon line for a good example.

Also, a Sableye evolution. A decent Dark/Ghost Pokemon would be amazing competitively.

Veggietable's wet dream: Will-O-Wisp Pokémon as the fire starter. That and I'll breed an army of them.
