Giacomo & Kingambit and Clavell & Quaquaval to debut in Pokémon Masters EX alongside a new Story Event starting September 29th

A special trailer posted to Pokémon Masters EX's official social media accounts today has revealed that Giacomo, the boss of Team Star's Dark crew, the Segin Squad, and Clavell, the director of the Academy in Paldea, will each be making their Pasio debuts in separate Poké Fair Scouts commencing in the next few days, alongside a new story event entitled Academy Founding Chapter: Let's Make a School on Pasio. Welcome Giacomo and Clavell Sweepstakes have also been launched on the official English and Japanese language accounts on X.

Academy Founding Chapter: Let's Make a School on Pasio
This new event will commence on September 29th, at 11:00pm (PDT). While no formal description has been given of the event outside of the descriptive name, the clips shown in the trailer show several short scenes involving encounters between Giacomo with Hugh, between Giacomo and grunts from Team Skull, and between Clavell with Maxie.

Giacomo Poké Fair Scout
Giacomo & Kingambit's Poké Fair Scout will run from September 29th, at 11:00pm (PDT), until October 17th, at 10:59pm (PDT). This fair-exclusive pair are expected to be released with an expanded sync grid. More information on this sync pair can be found on Bulbapedia closer to their release.

Giacomo & Kingambit are a Dark-type Strike (Physical) Role Sync Pair with a Tech EX Role. When allied Pokémon take damage, their DJ Vice's Beat Drop Passive Skill increases their Sync Move ↑ Next effect by 1 rank for each Pokémon that just took damage.

Clavell Poké Fair Scout
Clavell & Quaquaval's Poké Fair Scout will run from October 1st, at 11:00pm (PDT), until October 17th, at 10:59pm (PDT). This fair-exclusive pair are expected to be released with an expanded sync grid. More information on this sync pair will be found on Bulbapedia closer to their release.

Clavell & Quaquaval are a Water-type Sprint Role Sync Pair with a Field EX Role. Their Liquidation Dance Buddy Move gains additional power based on how much their Speed has been raised, at the cost of resetting their Speed back to its baseline value.

Welcome Giacomo and Clavell Sweepstakes
To celebrate the Pasio debuts of these two characters and this new event, special Welcome Giacomo and Clavell Sweepstakes are being held on the official English and Japanese language accounts on X, giving players the opportunity to win a variety of prizes.

For the English competition, five winners will each receive a set of acrylic stands featuring Giacomo, Kingambit, Clavell and Quaquaval.

For the Japanese competition meanwhile, 10 winners will be chosen, with each winner receiving a set of acrylic stands featuring Giacomo, Kingambit, Clavell and Quaquaval.

To enter, players must follow the appropriate Pokémon Masters EX account for their region on (@PokemonMasters or @pokemas_game), and then repost the official contest post (English / Japanese) prior to October 5th, at 7:59pm (PDT) / October 6th, at 11:59am (JST).
