girl question

Do you mean IRL?

It's just...because, I guess they need to feel like they belong, and aren't as scared of showing affection as alot of boys.

Maybe they feel they're too vulnerable if they walk down a dark alley at night? Not that having a friend with them is going to do them much good, but you feel safer at any rate.

I wouldn't trust you on anything to do with how girls are Scott, lol. XD

But yes, I believe many parents do actually have their daughter like kind of stick close to other girls, especially with all the rape today.

This phenomenon has existed for eons. I think it has to do with things that no male can possibly comprehend. Yes, it has to do with belonging, too, but it goes much deeper than that. I'm afraid that if I try to figure it out, I will be castrated and left for dead.

Because Japanese cartoons have girls walking around in packs, and they want to be the same? (Thaat could go for videogame girls and irl girls.)

Even if this thread were about games to start with (which i doubt, with lack of examples), shouldn't it have been move a while back?

Er I dunno, I'm a girl and I don't travel in packs. I almost always prefer to be alone or with just one other person at a time. Plus most of my friends are usually guys anyways. I'm trying to think of a time I've ever been with a group of all girls and I can't do it...I've occasionally been in large mixed gender groups at like cons or parties, that's about it.

To intimidate loser guys. I have a boyfriend who, well, there are no words for how in love we are, so I hate being flirted with. Also, with my homegirls, we like to watch and laugh at people. We're bitches. :)

Because life is just like an anime! And all American girls watch anime, not American Idol or the OC! ;P

ok why do girls travel in packs?

Think of them as lionesses; makes hunting easier. And who are the hunted, you might ask? Well it varies between seasons. In the wet season when prey is plentiful, they frolick with attractive guys, and use outcasts as scratching posts. During the dry season, things get desperate and conflict may arise between different prides.

In succinct terms, people stick together because humans are (generally) inately social creatures. Individuals tend to mix with their own genders because society has conditioned us in that way. We are taught that boys and girls are different and this is emphasised in our upbringing. Given this environmental influence, neither gender conciously and/or subconciously recognises the other as an equal. Therefore, we find it easier to relate to members of the same sex, and it follows that girls will spend more time with other girls, and similarly, boys will spend more time with other boys.

What the hell?

I understand that, but what a crap metaphor.

Thank you mr conceited, because your contribution to this thread makes your e-penis larger than mine.

May I suggest you stop breathing. I would wager that society benefits as a consequence.

Why, because I think your metaphor is crap? Awfully defensive, aren't you? o.0

Also, I'm a girl. Hence the reason I thought your metaphor was crap. Chill out, dude.

You phrased it in a manner that I viewed as inflammatry, and I reciprocated. In no way was my metaphor meant as derogatory towards girls, but tongue-in-cheek doesn't translate very well over the internet. Agreed, perhaps I could have used a better analogy, but I was likening the fact that lionesses have control in a pride to the power of a group of attractive girls at school. In any case, my serious contribution was detailed in the second paragraph.

We clearly misunderstood each other, and I apologise for drawing swords, so to speak (I also apologise for jumping to the conclusion that you are a guy). It's been a while since I last endulged in a flame war, and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms =]
