@Geodude ; if you would like this thread reopened, please contact a F&G Staff member and we'll do so. You may also restart the game if you wish.

I did a thread like this a couple years ago, but I'm putting it in the Games forum this time, since it sort of fits. Hopefully this one will last a little longer, it's fun.

So, take your favorite characters from any other fandom, and give them 4 suitable, appropriate Pokemon moves. Abilities are optional, but sometimes they may be very applicable.

I'll start:

X-MEN

Wolverine/X-23:
Metal Claw
Slash
Night Slash
Recover

Colossus:
Iron Defense
Meteor Mash
Strength
Focus Punch

Storm: (ability: Levitate)
Rain Dance
Thunder
Blizzard
Whirlwind

TEEN TITANS

Raven: (ability: Levitate)
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Calm Mind
Reflect

Cyborg: (ability: Download)
Focus Punch
Hyper Beam
Strength
Brick Break

JUSTICE LEAGUE

Batman:
Shadow Punch
Close Combat
Bonemerang
Agility

Sonic The Hedgehog:

Agility
Extreme Speed
Bounce
Spikes

Knuckles The Echidna:

Mega Punch
Dig
Brick Break
Mach Punch

Spyro The Dragon:

Flamethrower
Airial Ace
Tackle
Headbutt

Can we give them types too? If so...

Samus Aran from Metroid:
Type: Steel/Electric
Ability: Battle Armour
-> Charge Beam (obvious)
-> Ice Beam (obvious)
-> Flamethrower (There was a Flamethrower item in Metroid Prime 1. It was a combination of the Plasma Beam and missiles, so it could just represent the Plasma Beam on its own.)
-> Gyro Ball (Represents the Screw Attack)

If Samus was a Pokémon, I reckon she would have a pretty wide movepool - her Power Suit is easy to modify and has had many different upgrades within each game. Among them could be Defence Curl/Rollout for the Morph/Boost Ball upgrades, Solarbeam for the Light Beam from Metroid Prime 2, Dark Pulse for the Dark Beam also from MP2, Iron Defence for obvious reasons and just about any move with "beam" in it.

Great job so far guys!

JUSTICE LEAGUE

The Flash:
Agility
Extremespeed
Mach Punch
Quick Attack

TEEN TITANS

Billy Numerous:
Double Team

Robin:
Smokescreen/Haze (his smoke/haze pellets)
Bonemerang (obvious)
Agility
Close Combat

The Lion King

Zazu:
Fly (a given)
Chatter (no kidding)
Peck (one of my favorite Zazu moments: pecking little Simba on the head during the "new" animated sequence, "The Morning Report")

Shenzi, Banzai and Ed:
Crunch (just "Bite" wouldn't fit how strong a spotted hyena's bite really is, so crunch)
Beat Up (they attack in their trio or in the clan)
Pursuit (chasing the lion kiddos)

Scar:
Flatter
Slash (smacking Sarabi)
Torment (convincing a kid that he killed his dad and will be hated/killed if he went home. Close enough to torment I suppose, eh?)
Nasty Plot (enter "Be Prepared")

Pumbaa:
...Poison Gas (take a wild guess)
Helping Hand
Return
Take Down (he freaking took down three hyenas.)

Timon:
Swagger

Rafiki:
Karate Chop
Extrasensory
Meditate
Confusion ("WHO'S THE MONKEY?!")

Nala:
...Sweet Kiss (I love Simba's look after Nala licks him in "Can You Feel the Love Tonight"...then that steamy "come hither" look she gives him. Wow.)
Reversal (her trademark "Nala flip")

Simba:
Roar
Revenge

Mufasa:
Roar
Rage

Sarabi:
Mind Reader

---

Not finished, will finish later. Heh.

Focus Blast sorta works on Samus and in hindsight, Flash Cannon's pretty obvious too. Speaking of, I've done her so I thought why not try Dark Samus, Ridley or the rest of the hunters? It contains Metroid Prime 3 spoilers so...
Dark Samus
Type: Dark/Steel (Dark for obvious reasons. Steel because she's composed of the Phazon Suit from MP1 and Metroid Prime itself. I was considering making her Poison/Steel or Poison/Dark, but decided against it in the end.)
Ability: Levitate
-> Toxic (Darky infects Samus and the rest of the hunters with Phazon, a powerful toxin which grows stronger throughout the game. Toxic poisoning grows stronger through the battle.)
-> Double Team (She also uses copies of herself to avoid damage, which is highly frustrating.)
-> Hyper Beam (Self explanitory.)
-> Dark Pulse

Rundas
Type: Ice/Steel (He seems like the kind to be weak to heat, plus he's got armour you have to remove. Ice is pretty obvious in the game, seeing as all his attacks are ice-based.)
Ability: Levitate (See below)
-> Fly (He literally flies on ice)
-> Ice Beam (He uses ice to create ice pillars for cover, similar to how Ash's Glalie did against that Harry Potter look alike)
-> Ice Shard (When he's on this podium firing balls of ice at you, it's the first move that comes to mind. >_<)
-> Metal Claw (He uses one for his main melée attack, IIRC)

Ghor
Type: Steel/Electric (He's a cyborg. 'Nuff said.)
Ability: Pure Power (If you just look at him you'll see why)
-> Double-Edge (Rams hard and it hurts like heck)
-> Flamethrower (Represents his Plasma Cannon)
-> Rapid Spin (He does just that)
-> Outrage (In the fight against him, he fights like some kind of a berzerker)

Gandrayda
Type: Psychic (Optic camouflage. 'Nuff said.)
Ability: Trace (She's a shapeshifter who copies the abilities of enemies. Rather literally in this sense)
-> Transform (If you don't get why when I just told you she's a shapeshifter, you obviously need help.)
-> Bounce (You should see her move. It's frustratingly fast and her jumping ability is immense)
-> Thundershock (One of her attacks is an electricution move. It's not too powerful, but it's worth noting)
-> Rain Dance (She can open and close the roof in the battle, exposing the edge of the battlefield to acid rain)

Ridley
Type: Dark/Dragon (He is a rather big evil lizard after all) or Steel/Dragon (for Meta-Ridley)
Ability: Levitate (He doesn't seem like a flying-type, so we've got to give him some form of flight)
-> Metal Claw (He has claws which are made of metal. Obvious choice)
-> Dragonbreath (Firey breath. This is getting easy)
-> Fly (Something he does very well)
-> Bind (Usually, he packs some form of grabbing attack)

Slash and Night Slash might be alternatives to Metal Claw. Sometimes he uses his tail to attack, so Slam/Iron Tail might be options, too. In MP1 he also has a ground-based ramming attack, a la Take Down/Body Slam etc.

Naked Snake/Big Boss:
- Close Combat (his Punch Punch Kick thingy) or any punch move that doesnt involve natural elements
- Faint Attack (represents him sneaking up on you, then grabbing you from behind you, but power should be instant K.O. as he'd most likely snap your neck at that point or cut your through with his knife, but that's only the easy way out...)
- ViceGrip (for him grabbing and choking you) or Low Kick or Camouflage (should be obvious if you've ever played MGS3) or Bullet Seed (i guess it'd be the best thing to using a gun, although it should do more damage... duh...)
- Recover (represents his use of that needle thingy that contains Russian medicine) or Smokescreen (for Smoke Grenades) or Egg Bomb or Seed Bomb (for Frag Grenade, although he never comes across an egg, would be appropriate for Leon Kennedy, though) or Flash (Flashbang Grenade) or Lock-On (when he points a gun at you) or Ember (White Phosphorus Grenade) or Fling (for when he throws a grenade at you) or Magnet Bomb (when he sticks TNT onto your back)

probably not the best... but whatever...

Naruto

Shizune:
Poison Sting
Pin Missile
Haze

Kabuto:
Sing (xD;)
Destiny Bond

Tsunade:
Fissure
Earthquake
Rock Smash

I neglected to mention one of the easiest Teen Titans to make a moveset for:

TEEN TITANS

Terra:
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Earth Power
Ancientpower

From Dragon Ball Z:

Goku:
Charge Beam
Aura Sphere
Hyper Beam
Focus Punch

From Super Mario Bros:

Mario:
Ember
Protect
Bounce
Minimize

What do you think?

@barrycloadsofnumbers: If I were you, I wouldn't have two attacks representing the same item if they've only got one use, like you've done for Mario. An idea would be to give Mario the FLUDD, giving him access to moves such as Water Gun and Aqua Jet. Plus the Mario series has plenty of different powerups, aside from just the Fire Flower. Protect could work for the Star, Growth for the Super/Mega Mushrooms or Minimize for the Tiny Mushroom.

Think that I'll do some more video game villains, aside from Dark Samus and Ridley now. Not neccessarily Metroid though.

From the Mario games:
Bowser (Note: I borrowed heavily from his SSBM moves. :x)
Type: Fire/Dark (He lives in castles filled with lava. Dark was called the "Evil" type in Japan, IIRC)
Ability: Shell Armour (Blatantly obvious)
-> Flamethrower
-> Rapid Spin
-> Night Slash
-> Body Slam

From the Zelda games:
Ganondorf
Type: Dark/Psychic (Evil wizard. Go figure.)
Ability: Pure Power
-> Shadow Ball (From Ocarina of Time)
-> Psycho Cut (His primary weapon, magic and Triforce of Power aside, is his sword)
-> Night Slash (See above)
-> Low Kick (He's a dirty rotten sod like that)

When Ganondorf levels up holding the item "Triforce of Power" he evolves into...

Ganon
Type: Dark/Psychic
Ability: Pure Power
-> Teleport (He has some warp abilities)
-> Take Down (For his ramming attack in Twilight Princess)
-> Faint Attack (He does sneak attacks in A Link to the Past and Twilight Princess)
-> Psycho Cut (Whether he's using his trident or his twin blades, it fits)

Vaati:
Type: Dark/Psychic
Ability: Levitate (The type and ability go together well, considering his title is "Wind Mage". Plus, he's evil.)
-> Fly (He does just that when he captures Zelda in the Four Swords games)
-> Psychic
-> Energy Ball
-> Dark Pulse

Zant
Type: Dark/Steel (He spends most of his time in armour. He's also a member of the twilight race, so even if he wasn't evil, he'd be Dark-type anyway)
Ability: Hyper Cutter
-> Secret Power (Considering that his attack style changes depending on the location)
-> Nature Power (Same)
-> Camouflage (So does his weakness)
-> Night Slash (He usually uses some kind of sword attack)
Seriously, the amount of different attacks that guy uses is almost unreal. >_<

From Kirby
Meta-Knight (It's debatable as to whether he's a proper villain or not, but for the sake of simplicity, he's here)
Type: Steel/Flying (He flies, but not as an attack; uses a sword and wears armour. Pretty simple this giving them types thing.)
Ability: Hyper Cutter (Since cutting's what about 90% of his attacks involve)
-> Aerial Ace (Just makes sense to me)
-> Psycho Cut
-> Slash
-> Night Slash (For his various sword attacks)

King DeDeDe
Type: Fighting/Flying
Ability: Thick Fat (Oh come now. Have you seen the size of him?)
-> Wood Hammer (That is his main weapon)
-> Bounce (For his main jump attack)
-> Seismic Toss (He's got quite a throwing arm)
-> Swift (A lot of his attacks make stars appear)

From Metroid:
Kraid
Type: Dragon/Ground
Ability: Battle Armour (He got very few weak spots, so he's got some kind of protection everywhere else.)
-> Roar (He's a noisy one in Metroid: Zero Mission. Hehehe)
-> Dragon Claw (For his primary attack)
-> Need suggestions for the other two moves. ._.

Has anyone done Link yet? If not I'll give it a shot

Link
Type Fight/ Steel ( I'm not sure)
-Iron Defense
-Protect(Shield)
-Slash (sword)
-Bonemerang (boomerang)

Nahom (super Nahom Party 2)
Type Fight/Psychic
-Skull Bash (duh.. Well only if you've played the game)
-Iron head
- Teleport
-Giga Impact

I'll think of others later. :)

I'd say that like Samus, Dark Samus and Ridley among others, Link suffers from what I call "Too many potential attacks" syndrome, thanks to the sheer amount of different items he uses. Metal Claw's literally a claw, so I'd change that personally. For his shield, Protect and Iron Defence work better thematically. His type seems fine though. For his ability, I'd go for Humble Heart or Inner Focus, I guess.

If you're giving Link moves, I'd like to have a go at Midna.

Midna
Type: Dark/Psychic (She's got the whole Twili magician thing going on)
Ability: Levitate (She either rides Link or hovers all the time)
-> Teleport (She uses warping magic)
-> Hidden Power (She uses a rather literal one)
-> Lock On (Hold B in wolf form. 'Nuff said.)
-> Dark Pulse (I would say, but that's spoiler territory :x)
