Now that I've gotten some interesting general discussion from those four threads I started earlier, I think I'll now focus on particular topics.
And as BGM seems to be a very popular topic that's become the end-all-be-all that decides whether a dub is watchable or not, let's focus on that.
In general, I think the dub's act of replacing music, in and of itself, is not a bad thing to do. For instance, I had absolutely no problem with the first three movies and the Diancie movie getting complete soundtrack overhauls. If music is used well, then that's what matters.
So this is the point of discussion: what are your favorite tracks from either version, and where would you say they were best used?
(Keep in mind that movie examples are allowed.)
By the way, feel free to discuss any time you felt like the music fit, even if it's not necessarily the best. I should've been more specific about that in the thread's title.
