This Glatra thing is getting out of Control. Is there any official way to completely prove it wrong?

I realize that, but certain users still refuse to admit it is not real. Although that user has been blocked, I can gurantee he will come back and spread Glatra Rumors, getting more people to go to his page

Ignoring is the best policy. The more fuss that's made, the more attention they get.

QFT. Er, even though I hardly ever listen to that rule anymore and just go troll away instead..

fixed that one for you. i think at this point we should just forget about it and move on. hes the only one who cared and when he comes back, hes going to go up in arms about it again and hopefully do something stupid to get him banned permanently.

The onus isn't on us to "disprove" anything. It's a ridiculous falsity that will simply be reverted over and over again until it disappears for good.

Not that I've actually seen any mention of this Glatra as of late. I recall one or two users were trying to push the rumor vehemently, but is it a really serious problem? Nah.

That would only encourage them.

Though, after seeing this YouTube video, I might tempted to create an article in the Fake Pokémon category if things develop beyond wiki vandalism.

As for the original query, the burden of proof is on those making the less than believable claim. Just keep an eye out to make sure it stays out of the mainspace and don't worry about it too much.

My understanding is that Glatra is some sort of glitch Pokémon that was alleged, by some user(s), to exist in Gen IV. Basically the next-generation Mew-under-the-truck (rumors were widely circulated that a truck near the S.S. Anne had Mew under it in the Gen I games; this is of course false).

This rumor doesn't seem to be all that widespread though, just something some Bulbapedian made up one day and decided to try to pass it off as fact.

It's a fake Pokemon that a guy named Darkrai Breeder (who is banned for 6 months) completely made up. It's not real. MAGNEDETH prooved it to, even though it was quite obvious before he did. DB also kept saying that he would get a video of glatra (NOT capitalized because it's NOT a Pokemon) but it never came.

The only thing I currently have a concern about is if this happens again. I mean, sure, blowing up at them will certainly get them banned, and that shuts everything up for who knows how long, but we need a way to mediate blatantly fake sayings without saying "NONONONONONONONONONONONONONO!"
