Glistenshipping (Candice x Maylene)

As it was a terrible injustice that such a perfect (and as near canon as we're gonna get for an fxf) ship as Glistenshipping did not as of yet have a thread, I had to right that wrong once and for all! (At least, I found no thread for them).

Candice and Maylene are a pairing that, I do see working romantically, but I personally see better as besties. But don't get it twisted. Oh no no no. These two are great together, nonetheless.

I do love the view of Candice being the confident one that advises and is there for the more insecure and unsure Maylene. And Candice is usually always the one that's doing the things too, at least that's how I see it. For example, since Maylene spars against Candice a lot to help practice the Fighting vs Ice type matchup, Candice returns the favor by using a Medicham, like a little nod or respect to her practice partner. (Although Medicham is only used in DP and BDSP.) Speaking of BDSP, Maylene and Candice team up to fight in Master Class double battles.

In Pokémon Masters, Candice's Palentine's Day alt says that she's focused on cooking something that makes Maylene happy. Speaking of Masters, Maylene's Sync Pair story that triggers Meditite's evolution is specifically against Candice.

It's always Candice that's looking out for Maylene. And hey, since Maylene claims to not know much about being a gym leader and can be generally confused by the whole thing, I say it checks out. That's her homegirl right there!
