Post what you think of it. It's my favorite sport to watch. People in this other forum I visit don't think it should be in the olympics XD

I am rooting for the Russians in every event because they DESERVE gold in every event. Just about the most wonderful thing is the Chinese couple getting silver in the pairs the other night when the girl fell BADLY. I was so happy for them.

yeaaaah. Talk about figure skating : ).

I think that the last time I actively watched the figure skating competition was back in '94 when the whole 'Tonya and Nancy' debacle was ongoing tabloid fodder. However, I'd like to see Sasha Cohen win a medal, athough she's got stiff competition.

I rather like wathcing Figure Skating as opposed to say, hockey or Skiing. It just seems a lot more difficult and it really is entertaining.

"Skating with the Stars" is proving far more entertaining than the Olympics as far as I'm concerned. Jillian Barberie is great. And what about the French skater (Surya?) a couple of years ago who attempted and completed a backflip while skating--she was awesome to watch.

Figure skating is one of my favourite's and I even like it when it goes wrong because it's funny when it does.

*Vaguely remembers the Russian MAFIA raising a big stir at the last winter olympics when they bought over a french judge to get themselves a win*.

Also agreed with Majestic Arcanine. That girl seriously gets herself the 2006 Olympics medal of courage.
