Is it good if I have my book based in South/North America?

Okay, so your book is based in the Americas. And it has... goblin slayers. Sure, I guess that could work out.
 
If you haven't been to the part of the Americas you're going to talk about, I'd advise against it being set there. However, you could consider changing the location to a place closer and familiar to you.
