Recently I got someone in a RP that I'm running ticked off at me for godmodding, but I had thought that godmodding was when someone besides the GM hijacked the game. While looking through the rules to check to see what exactly godmodding was, I realized something.

I couldn't find any rule about godmodding no matter where I looked.

Now I'm worrying that either I've missed a whole rule post, or that there are lots of unwritten rules that I have to follow. Could someone here please tell me where exactly the rule against godmodding is?

No, I understand the rule itself, but I want to see where it is on this site. I'm wondering what other rules I might have missed (or if godmodding is even an official rule).

Godmodding is when you control another character, or have infinite health, or never die.

No, I'm asking for a link to the rule about godmodding on this site. I know what it means, but I want to see the rule that is posted here.

I haven't checked extensively, but I'm pretty sure each RP has individual rules. :/

There aren't any blanket rules, the GM of your particular RP makes them.

I'm the gm, so I guess godmodding isn't illegal then. (I'm still not gonna do it. It annoys people)
Some mod lock this thread please.

Let me get in a word, I think I can sum it up pretty well: It's not really a rule like a law, so much as it's more etiquette, good form. If you yelled a lot and were a jerk, you wouldn't get arrested, but people will like you less, and if you were at a party, you could get kicked out. So, in other words, it's really a matter of being polite.
