Going Nuts Configuring Wireless Settings on the DS

So finally I have a Nintendo DS Lite and my own copy of Pokémon Diamond here, and I have advanced far enough in the game to get access to the GTS. Yet, I'm unable to jump in just yet, because I'm unable to configure my wireless settings; no matter what I do, it keeps giving me a 52200 or 52100 error. I have tried fiddling with my wireless router settings, and looked up on both official and unofficial web sites for help, to no avail.

I'm using a 2Wire 2700HGV-2 router here, and I also have a McAfee firewall installed. Any help?

I'd bet on the firewall if the computer's getting the internet signal before the router gets it. I had to turn mine off before I installed the NWFCUSBD.

If the router's getting the signal first, then it's probably the type of signal sent... I think the DS can only use 802.11b, and some routers send out 802.11g. Most have the ability to send out both, so there might be a switch on the router.

If I'm reading the home network diagram on McAfee's Security Center correctly, the router is getting the internet signal first.

As for the type of signal, my router's capable of sending out both 802.11b and 802.11g signals; I have that setting checked and should be OK.

Another thing: while looking for solutions, I came upon a local gaming forum where some users complained that the particular I.S.P. I'm using was being problematic with their Nintendo DSes - apparently, they were unable to ping conntest.nintendowifi.net, which apparently is where the DS connects to when it goes online.

Been there, done that.

Anyway, I followed up with a local gaming forum, and it appears the problem is with my I.S.P.; I have called them to check.
