Going to a League for the first time in a while ..

There's a league in the library near me, which is around 10-20 minutes to get to, and I was excited when I found out about it. However, the last time I went to one of these things was in 2000-2001, so I'm wondering a few things:

- Should I even bother? Would it just be too awkward?
- Will they even let me in?
- What should I bring with me?
 
Well, you should probably think about taking a deck.
I've never been to one, so I don't know if you have to pay to get in or what :/
It wouldn't be too awkward, just go for it.

I don't have a deck, I just collect.

To be honest, a friend and I peeked in on the league a few months ago, but I was too nervous to actually enter the room. It was a bunch of kids sitting around tables with old model DSes. That's why I asked this stuff. Back in the day, it was just cards, so besides bringing my 3DS (And White,) I don't know what to expect.
 
Just go and have a nosy around the stands ( I assume there's stands ). Take your binder(s) or boxes or whatever with you, show off your collection and also add to it. Sounds like fun to me. How old are you?

GO!!! most places are extremely welcoming, and they will be glad to help if you are having troubles. Yes they will let you in with open arms, and the ds is optional if you want to battle/trade. Otherwise bring your collection as many people will want to trade. And I'm pretty sure they are all free
 
You should go. I always wanted to go to one of those when I was little, but none was near by.
 
Back in the day for me it was pretty much how you described it there. Gameboys everywhere, binders everywhere, people playing the cards and video games. People actually jump on you when they notice you have card. They're all for new meat. XP

I'm trying to see if a League can get started where I live..but we need more people.
