That would be fantastic, although again I'm worried about legitimacy and someone cloning it. Although maybe if I get on early, I can perhaps get something legit.
 
If someone with a PokeSAV/somewhat manages to get a legit one, those Deoxys will not be that special. A legit Pkmn is just a Pkmn which complies with the legit code it should have. As long as someone is able to know its structure, all non-event special Deoxys will be undistinguishable from the event ones.

Anyway, what is legitimacy? Is it moral legitimacy? Well, then just don't think if it could be a non-"legit" one, but think it's a legit one and be proud of it.
 
You raise a good point. For me (being as obsessive as I am), legit is things I can get myself that are actually put in the game sans glitches, hacks, etc.

Legit (especially for certain kinds of legendaries) means two things: A. Acquiring via bonus disc or B. Acquiring via special event

Being that I am so obsessive, it would be nice if I was able to get things that were not cloned, glitch, etc. and just acquired simply through one's regular game.

Just needed to explain that, though at any rate...

If anyone is interested in purchasing, those you'll need to buy them through Celga which may take some time (though not before the 10th movie release, they are usually quite fast).
 
Hm, then you should ask for a photo or something to ensure its a legit one, and even that could be faked.

I agree with you in that obtaining a Pkmn at my own effort makes me feel somewhat better than just creating it with a tool, but I cannot agree in that I should not make a copy of that Deoxys given that this event will be carried out only in Japan and with luck in US, but not Europe.

That would only be in the interests of players who have obtained Deoxys illegaly, wishing to look up a legitimate version thereof on the GTS. Furthermore, it stands to reason that anyone in possession of a legitimate Deoxys would only trade it away (whether cloned or not) to a friend or for another event Pokémon, none of which are accommodated by the GTS.

Surely you can see how the interests at hand are bound to lead to one player trading his illegal Deoxys for another player's illegal Deoxys, with both players being conned into believing they have the other side fooled. However you look at it, the GTS is not intended for the likes of Deoxys.
