I thought the Pokedex was already completed... but I'll buy them (on the GBA). Right now I don't want anything to touch Diamond and Pearl's development though. I really want the game to be as perfect as it can be, and I really hope the game expands to old territories, making the game even longer.
However, we don't need a crystal, they can just combine crystal with both of them (adding in Animations).
I think tht it would be cool to make remakes of gold and silver. it would get the people that are just getting into pokemon to the johto without spending grueling hours spending time to find the color versions. plus, they would be able to trade with FR/LG/R/S/E. i think that it would be kinda cool to make a remake of yellow too. it would be cool to start with pikachu on a new game.
but if they do, they really should wait to make it until diamond and pearl are finished and at least out on demo in america.
Hmmm...I got FR because of having to go through the first gen again, with better graphics and the mechanics of Ru/Sa behind it, as well as the Sevii Islands. I wouldn't have gotten Emerald even if I had waited because I have Ruby and I hate redundancy. Emerald does have the greater majority of G/S/C's pokes and other features that make it one of the best pokemon games to have existed. True, I have Yellow, but for some reason, I ignored that in this case. It was like starting pokemon all over again for me, and this time, I would get it right, now having 5 years of experience. It amused me for quite a while. Would I get a remake of G/S/C? Possibly, if it was done as well as FR/LG, or perhaps better. For me, it would not depend on anything that was in the list. It would have to depend on how it is done.
It'd be nice. As long as we got a bonus area, like Sevii Islands in FRLG and BF in Emerald (and no, Depressing Kanto does *not* count), and they made it an otherwise exact port, it would rock.
Weren't some people working on an Advance-style remake emulator (for GBA ROMs) some time ago?
Yes, they should definitely have remakes of Gold, Silver, and Crystal!!
I LOVED those games!!!! ^_^
That would be so awesome......
Although, somehow, I don't think they'd actually go to all the trouble to have remakes of those games when they still haven't made a remake of Pokemon Yellow (which happens to be my favorite Pokemon game). :-(
I agree. Even though I'm sick of waiting DP to realease and a 4-year-period has past since the last "new-story/pokemon" tranditional games were released, I would agree the DP to release and after 1 or 2 years let us see Gold and Silver remakes. That's a possible scenario anyway... Since after Ruby and Sapphire FireRed and LeafGreen released.. I mean Nintendo MUST give new trainers the chance to ge thte expierience of Gold and Silver (which in my opinion were the best of the masterpieces in Pokemon Games). Probably something like GoldenSun or SilverMoon would be right.
For this to be even a remote possibility, I would expect that Diamond and Pearl will need to have been around for quite some time and the people growing a trifle restless over having done everything within the games. Not only that, but in addition all of the third-generation games would need to be discontinued or otherwise allocated to the Best Sellers list of marked-down games before they insist on pushing forward a Gold/Silver remake. It's not exactly a wise business practice to offer something in a game that can already be had by purchasing another game.
Overall, as much as I would love to see Johto revitalized, I cannot see it happening given the circumstances.
GSC really needs a remake. I miss the plains outside of Ecruteak, and the underground passages of Goldenrod, and the forest at the foot of Mt. Silver, and the lighthouse, and all the gym leaders, and working together with Lance to take down Team Rocket. Johto was so awesome, and without all the constraints of the Gameboy, and adding the dark types to a reasonable area, they could be the best games ever.
Kijuna, would you be happy if Johto was included in Pearl and Diamond? (I hope they do--but it'll be enough trouble fitting every Pokémon onto there...)
Personally, I'm somewhat against simply a remake of GSC, like FRLG. I would rather have a Johto-based original game. Somewhat difficult to pull off, but I would enjoy it much more than a remake. Perhaps this is because I just replayed my Gold, until a week ago when its saving died...may it rest in peace.
