There, I don't think it likely that that one's been used before.

Hi, I'm Jane from Pennsylvania. I've been playing Pokemon* since Gen II, when I got Silver for Christmas after borrowing a friend's old copy of Blue for a little while. Gen III on I always play a female trainer named Kyoko for reasons that are too silly and complicated to explain at length here. I got X a few days after it came out and have played intermittently ever since. My Alakazam can beat up your Alakazam (but probably not, I'm bad at competitive stuff). I use Bulbapedia as a reference quite often and only recently learned it has an attached forum (apparently the forum came first? I'm not clear on the history here).

I used to watch the anime when I was younger but we haven't had cable in years, so it's been a long time since I saw it last.

About myself, I am 22, live in a trailer park, and scrape by as a super smalltime musician / stay at home older sibling. I tend to style myself ' 'a witch' ' but it's mostly a sort of in-joke that got out of hand, not that I mind. As a matter of stylistic codification, planet Jane and planet JANE are both correct. Planet Jane is not. Planet jane is just you being silly.

My hobbies are making and listening to music, watching anime (s/o Crunchyroll), and playing far, far more video games than someone my age probably should.

Jane, welcome to the forums! I'm most active in the Fun & Games and Current Events: Pokémon Sun and Moon sections if you want to catch me elsewhere. Remember that!
The above two sections are good places to start conversing, I think - Fun & Games helps you ease up on things every once in a while, and of course the Current Events sections are all about discussion of the latest news for the latest games! I'm sure you've heard most of it by now, of course.

Anyway, welcome to the forums. I think you might be the first newbie I've bothered to welcome here cause I found you interesting. This may or may not be a compliment, depending on your point of view, but I certainly think it is. ^^;; I'm sure you'll find this place is full of friendly people who will answer any questions you might have. My personal favourite haunts are the Pokemon Video Games forum and subsections, and the Outside the Box forum and subsections. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time here. :D

Well I'm not sure "interesting" is a word I'd use to describe myself but I appreciate the sentiment nonetheless. ^^

Where do you write walkthroughs for, by-the-by?

EDIT: ah, a general question real quick. Is there a friend-code swap somewhere? I do love the friend safaris in X/Y.

Oh I put them on my own site but since I've been so busy lately with coursework (and by "lately" I mean the last like year and a half) I haven't put my stuff back up yet after I had to switch webhosts last January. ^^;; I... should probably do that today, haha.

In other news, @TouyaShiro pointed you in the right direction although I'm not sure how many people have been updating the actual spreadsheet recently. Might wanna check the last couple of pages (i.e., more recent posts), or if you want a specific pokemon in a Safari/Safari type you can make a post there directly asking if anyone's got it in theirs. Also a lot of people put their FC's in their forum sigs and usually you just pm them saying you added them and give them your FC so they can add you back.

Thank you for the help wrt Friend Codes. I may add you later if you don't mind, I've been looking for a Smeargle, little painterly weasel devils.
 
Alright cool. I have to go out today but I'll leave the DS plugged in and on since I'm not sure which pokemon is that infamous third slot thing (basically the first two pokemon you can always find in the safari but to find the third one the owner of the Safari has to be on at the same time as you at some point). Also, pm me your FC so I can add you too. ^^ I'll let you know what pokemon you've got in yours if you don't know yet.
 
I have it in my signature (which I just added mere moments ago) actually! I don't know who's in what slot but the deets are down there.
