Good moveset for...

Hmm I'd suggest

1.Vine Whip
2.Solar Beam
3.Stun/Sleep/Poison Powder
4.Energy Ball/Razor Leaf

I'm sorry but that's a pretty bad moveset.

If you want an offensive Meganium, I'd suggest:

-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Outrage
-Seed Bomb

If you want a defensive one (the better one really,) go with:

-Reflect/Light Screen
-Leech Seed/Synthesis (the latter only if you don't want to breed for the former)
-Energy Ball/Grass Knot
-Aromatherapy

The rest of your movesets look fine at first glance, but this shouldn't be here. Outrage is only as powerful as Seed Bomb when neutral, and while it hits Dragons super effective, it requires you to stay in and use it, allowing it to be easily countered and taken out.

Never use Outrage when you don't get STAB.

I know, but Meganium doesn't exactly have the largest physical movepool out there. What would you suggest then? Body Slam sounds like a good alternative and it's paralysis rate can help with Meganium's lackluster speed stat when it happens. Any more ideas?

EQ. But since his SPATK is actually higher then his ATK stat why the hell not just make a special meganium?

you should give it good moves that are based pn both it's Atk. and Sp.Atk
Idk...
how about
-Sunny Day/Light Screen
-Solar Beam/Petal Dance
-Earthquake
-Synthesis/Aromatheraphy
would do?

Yeah, Meganium doesn't get screwed over like Typhlosion, who has a very small physical movepool despite a high attack.

I'm pretty sure you mean "very small special movepool" since his physical options are actually rather decent (EQ, Flare Blitz, Focus Punch, Fire Punch, Thunderpunch, etc...)

And no, Meganium's special movepool isn't that great. It's actually pretty pathetic. Aside from the obvious Hidden Power and Hyper Beam (the former of which is situational depending on the Meganium you have and the latter is almost completely useless), the only non-Grass special attacks that Meganium can even consider using are Ancientpower and...well, that's it. And although Ancientpower can cover 4/5 of her weaknesses, it's still a rather average move as a whole. Her physical movepool is...well, it's still pretty pathetic but it's much better than her special one. At least she gets useful moves like EQ, Body Slam and Outrage. The only reason to use special attacks over physical on her is because Seed Bomb is outclassed by better Grass type moves...all of which are on her special side (Energy Ball has an added effect, Grass Knot has more power depending on the foe, Solarbeam is extremely good but there's that pesky charge up turn to deal with). Even so, Seed Bomb is a very viable option and it does get STAB plus a boost from Swords Dance.

And that's another thing her physical pool has going for her that her special pool lacks. Sure, Solarbeam may look more powerful than Seed Bomb at first glance, but after just one SD, it's actually the weaker option. She doesn't really have anything that boosts her special attack stat. If only she had Nasty Plot... but oh well, what are you going to do?

In light of these facts, it is my opinion that a physically offensive Meganium is a much better option than a specially offensive one.

Although I must reiterate that I believe the defensive and supporting sides are where this Pokemon really shines.

My bad. I got Typhlosion mixed up some other pokemon. You are right.

in-game or competative? in in-game you should go offensive, while defensive competatively.

Really? well I was going by my experience as a trainer since I've been one for a very long time so I know a lot more about selecting moves that suit most Pokemon well and would easily make good choices for them

Envoy said it was bad because all 3 of Meganium's offensive moves are the same type. Giving a Pokemon offensive moves of the same type is a bad idea, in in-game and competitive sets (if you do, you'll end up getting walled by a lot of things).

The only exceptions are when you're using Overheat/Leaf Storm/Draco Meteor as STAB moves (when you can opt for a more reliable STAB to go alongside them) and Kingdra's mixed attacking set (1 physical and 1 special STAB of the same type is enough to let Kingdra wall-break, since it doesn't have the best move pool around). Remember, type diversity is key here.

Well since you said that I believe I have the best one that no-one will beat

1.Razor Leaf
2.Body Slam
3.Light Screen
4.Synthesis/Giga Drain

For in-game, it's pretty good. Though I'd replace Razor Leaf for Seed Bomb for the higher base power. Although in all fairness, Razor Leaf does have that nice high-crit ratio, on average, Seed Bomb will be the better move.

The rest is decent enough for an in-game Meganium

How about:

~Energy Ball
~Aromatherapy
~Reflect/Light Screen
~Synthesis/Leech Seed (Though you'd have to breed for it)

Meganium are mainly used for support, rarely for offense.
