Well, I got to the Elite Four in FireRed in just over twenty-seven hours of playtime. My team consists of a Raichu, a Charizard, a Primape, a Vileplume, and a Dugtrio (lulz), all in the early- to mid-fifties level range, except for Dugtrio, which is level 48.

I almost beat everyone in the Elite Four, but that cheap-ass Dragonite finally did me in. That's the first time I've lost any battle since I started playing Pokémon again, too. Long story short, I need to replace the weak Dugtrio (with a Jynx, I think, to pwn the Dragonite), train the current team members a bit more, and train a sixth member to add to my team.

That means I need to do quite a bit of leveling up. Is there anywhere better than Victory Road to do this? Some Vs. Seeker-able Trainer, perhaps, with a Chansey or something I've forgotten about?

The trainers in one and three islands are quite good, although they may be a bit weak for you. Just try everywhere and anywhere to find decent trainers.

I use either the E4 or four Trainers in Sevault Canyon (Crush Girl, Tamer, and two Rangers, I can activate them all with my VS Seeker at one time, the female Ranger has a Chansey), but, obviously, neither option will work for you, as you haven't defeated the E4 or gone to 7 Island yet.

So, I dunno.

Well, it shouldn't take more than a handful of hours and a bit of luck to train six team members to level 60 and beat the E4; there are some decent Trainers on Islands 1-3. Thanks for the post-E4 advice, though.

The really funny thing is that I beat the E4 and Champion in D/P with seriously underleveled Pokes... the lowest was level 47, the highest, 52.

Me too, my lowest was a level 46 Roserade and the highest was my level 50 Infernape/Snorlax

There are really good trainers next to ember spa, they take chunks out my Mewtwo and Venasaur and are TONS of Lvs less

The E4 in Fr/Lg are somehow harsher than in the other games, even before you challenge their revamped teams...

Hmmm... I've always been a fan of the area south of Silence Bridge and east of Fuscia as well as cycling road, but I don't remember how tough they are. Not that bad. You might be looking for something higher.
