What are some good Pokemon that are not often used or seen.
Example
Kangaskahn-Adamant-Lum Berry
-Sucker Punch
-Fake Out
-Outrage
-Dizzy Punch

The idea is it starts of with a STAB Fake Out, Dizzy Punches alot, then finishes up w/ Sucker Punch (people always try to go out with a bang). It has Sucker punch for Ghost types who always attack and Outrage as a good move and it takes care of those really powerful Dragon Types. I am aware of it's being entirely physical and resisted by Steel types but this is just a preliminary draft for fun. You can also use TM

Nidoking-Impish-leftovers
-Rock Slide
-Toxic
-Poison Jab
-Earthquake
EV trained primarily for Hp and Defense

Rockslide is for Ice types and low physical Psychic types and EV and Nature + Item for Toxic. Poison Jab and Eartquake for STAB and variety.

I...don't think this goes here. It's probably better suited to the Simple Questions thread?

Hey, I think this could be its own thread, provided people have enough opinions and feedback on underrated Pokemon.

I think the most underrated Pokemon is Jumpluff. Very fast, with an immunity to Earthquake and Encore + U-Turn. You can switch in on an Earthquake user, Encore it, and U-Turn to something to either set up or counter their switch in. For your other two moves, you can either double powder or subseed, making yourself even more irritating. I've won many battles because of smart use of this guy.

Something like:

Jumpluff @ Focus Sash
Jolly
252 Speed, the rest in defenses or attack, whatever
-Encore
-U-Turn
-Sleep Powder / Substitute
-Stun Spore / Leech Seed

Good idea. Just what i'm looking for. I just hope enough people comment before it would potentially get closed by Wiil.

My brother thought of this and I revised it.

Zangoose-Careful-Shell Bell
-Swords dance
-X-scissor
-Slash
-Brick Break
EV trained for defense and speed
The idea is that you Power up w/ Swords Dance then hit hard with his 3 moves that suprisingly well cover almost everything. You also get some major healing with the high damage and low total HP.

I won't lock this thread, as long as it contributes to something, and actually posts good movesets for rare pokemon

Primeape@Focus Sash
252 attack/ 252 speed
Jolly, vital spirit
Close Combat
U-turn
Fire Punch
Payback

It's my anti-lead. I switch around payback.

I was happy to see this thread; I hope it can stick around. Though I'm not really into the competitive scene, I love raising underappreciated Pokémon and finding ways to make them useful.

I don't claim to be any good at this, but I'll share one that's come through for me time and time again: my all-purpose Miltank.

Miltank @ Leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
Impish Nature
-Body Slam
-Earthquake
-Heal Bell
-Milk Drink
EVs: 252 in HP, the rest split between Speed and Attack.

She's a wall, a cleric and a competent physical attacker too. Scrappy allows her to hit Ghosts with Body Slam, while Earthquake covers Steel and Rock (an alternative is Hammer Arm, but I prefer the increased accuracy of Earthquake). Milk Drink and Leftovers help her walling, while Heal Bell deals with burns/paralysis and also helps out any teammates in trouble.

I routinely pair her up with my Baton Passer (a Mawile). There can be some luck and prediction involved in pulling it off, but the above Miltank buffed with a few Iron Defense/Swords Dances is a joy to behold.

It's cool to see that the first post detailed a Kangaskhan and Nidoking: I'm actually tinkering with Kangaskhan and Nidoqueen movesets at the moment. Just as soon as I'm done with my Toxifusion Spinda >.>

Any priority attack. If he can't learn one, then I'm not sure how he could be a good anti-lead. Unless you've tested him and been successful, in which case by all means continue.

Yanmega
nature=Modest
Ability=Speed Boost
item=Wide Lens
252 Speed/252 Sp. Attack/4 ?
Hypnosis
Bug Buzz
Air Slash
Protect

Pretty self-explanatory. Protect-->Hypnosis--->Sweep or switch.
He can be annoying if you lack a sleep absorber. Air Slash can flinch due to boosting speed too. ^^

Sounds weak, but it's enough to take down sashed pokemon who are faster then you.

I really like the Magikarp Idea alot and the Primeape and Miltank ones are good tooo.

people use Yanmega a good deal, though. It is a good idea but I see those- standard Yanmegas too much.

i can give you a ev'd gayrados for kangaskhan oh wait nevermind i already traded.

toxic stall yanma/yanmega?

focus sash/leftovers/sirtis berry
speed boost
EV: 252 speed, 252 HP (or the defence stats)

toxic
protect
detect
subsitute/endure

use toxic, then use protect or detect once (or toxic again, predicting a switch). use sub 3 times. then detect/protect, and hope you don't luck out.
