Anyone who's played Telefang (AKA - Pokemon Diamond and Jade) and is curious about the title should check out this website:

http://racieb.ggmedia.us/telefang/

I've been wanting someone to put up a gallery of all the E-monsters. You know, looking through them - quite a bit do look like they're drawn in the GSC Pokemons style. The designs are fairly interesting. I almost wish quite a bit of them were Pokemon. The only dissapointing thing are the evolutions in this game. They're very convuluted (sometimes consisting of up to 8 - with 4 stages and branching paths), and many of them don't look that different from eachother - for instance, Kuripute, the Power Starter - essentially just continues to gain a bigger and bigger shell, while remaining small as ever. Looks like he'll tip over the more he evolves.

I think the funniest monsters of the whole bunch is Gummi's line, which appears to be a parody of Pokemon like Jigglypuff. It starts off cute and bouncy, and progressively evolves into a bloated, wart-covered, Jabba the Hutt-like creature that attacks with farts. XD

Another interesting thing to note on this site is that Telefang 2 seems to have superior graphics to the GBA Pokemon games, with the monsters having complete battle animations and much better shading. Sort of ironic.

That game was actually fun, yes I accidently got the fake version, it was still a fun game. I may import the GBA game one day.

I got that game when my family last visited the Philippines. It was fun, hard, annoying(at times). I restarted my game about like 5 or 4 times. I hate that option. Still a pretty good game.

I looked through the roster of Telefang 2. Very strange. The art-style was totally redone so it doesn't look like Pokemon anymore. Looks more like Golden Sun instead. The monsters do have animations, albiet simple ones - like a step up from Pokemon Emerald. They discarded most of the old monsters in favor of new, surreal fantasy designs. A lot of them are simply indescribeable. The Starters (the armadillo and the shark-dog thing) return, but they have new evolutions. Also, the other returning monsters have had their evolution lines trunicated to 3 or 2 monsters down from 4. Very strange, the two games have almost nothing in common, visually.

I missed playing those games.... but to mention it I do have pokemon diamond(the telefang power version) for the vba but i don't really like the starter, I like the jade version's starter......

Anyway, do you guys know where I can blah blah

Blackjack here--don't ask for roms, even for fake games.

uh, Blackjack, you may've also wanted to bring up thread necromancy.

I guess I may as well say something, especially if this thread ends up closed: I have yet to play Telefang, though I'd be interested in trying them at some point (but it's a shame that Sphinx snake thing on the Diamond cover isn't actually in this game, from what I understand... if they were trying to pass off an obscure monster-raiser as Pokemon, couldn't they have just used a monster from said obscure game on the cover? Why make up a non-existent monster that nobody can ever play as and rip a character from a Princess Mononoke screenshot?). I find it extremely unfair that a lot of the people who played the Diamond/Jade hacks go off and call it the worst Pokemon game ever and complete chastise the game for it, when in actuality, they shouldn't be judging this like a Pokemon game at all.
