Graph of In-Game Opponents' Weaknesses in Pokemon Platinum

So, I'm new to Bulbagarden, and here is my first contribution to the site (assuming that you find it useful). I compiled a bar graph of all of the weaknesses of major in-game opponents (gym leaders, Team Galactic members, and legendary Pokemon). Battles with your rival, minor characters (such as the ones that you do battle with while traveling along the routes), and other trainers in the gyms are not included. I obtained my data from Prima's Pokemon Platinum Version Pokedex, from the battle analyses (where the opponent's Pokemon's levels, types, & weaknesses are given).

Each Pokemon weak to a certain type is given a value of 1 on the graph, for each time that they occur. For example, Aaron of the Elite Four has a Yanmega, Heracross, Vespiquen, and a Scizor, who are all weak to Fire. His Drapion is weak to Ground. Therefore, he would give a value of 4 to the Fire bar on the graph and a value of 1 to the Ground Bar. If you had to battle Aaron twice in the course of the game, he would give a value of 8 to Fire and 2 to Ground (4x2=8, 1x2=2).

If anything needs correcting, don't hesitate to email me. If there is a graph or chart that you want made, email me and I will do my best. Enjoy!

Here is the graph. If you have trouble reading it I'll reformat it.

I don't see a graph. But I'm confused about some things. Aron is not only weak to fire and ground. He also has weaknesses to flying and electris ( his flyers) among others.

I only put in the weaknesses of specific Pokemon mentioned in the battle analyses. I'll post a revised edition later to fix the problem.

Aaron's battle analysis (from the Pokemon Platinum Version Pokedex:

"Elite Four Battle 1

AARON

*Bug Pokemon user

Seize victory with Fire & Flying type move

Exploit the Bug-type weakness by using Fire-type moves against Yanmega, Heracross, Vespiquen, and Scizor. The odd one out is Drapion, which can be taken out with Ground-type moves. Focus on using powerful moves like Flamethrower, Drill Peck, and Earthquake".

This sort of thing would be interesting if there were one type that has no major problems or one or two types that are completely shafted, but those are basically Psychic and Poison anyway, so there you go.

Also, no graph appears for me. I'd also insist on an analysis of all Trainers in the game period.

To those who can't see the graph: I posted it as a PDF attatchment, not in the body of my post. Are you saying that you can't open it? If so, I can try reformatting it.

I'm working on my revised version now. The current version is a Pokemon-by-Pokemon analysis. I expect it to be finished in two or three days.

I'm not very far along in Platinum yet, only around Eterna Gym, but I will keep a notepad handy to record the Pokemon of all future trainers. I'll do a quick play-through up to that point to record all trainers before then. This version will take a lot longer (as long as it takes me to play through the game). I would be ecstatic if anybody can contribute data to this project.

PS: Yes, I am using the Pokemon weaknesses quick reference chart for the new graph. (p. 612 in Platinum dex)

No, it just doesn't show attached.

Hmm. Do you have a PC or a Mac? I have a Mac.

Whether it shows up or not is not related to the operating system of the user. It's not there (not visible nor in the source of this thread page). You might want to host it somewhere else and put a link here, or try to upload it to that post again.

I have a Mac. The problem isn't that we can't open it, it's that we can't see anything to open.
Try posting it in another form.

I'm pretty sure that's a direct quote from the Official Pokemon Strategy Guide for Platinum. I have it.

OK. I'll try again ASAP (tomorrow or Sunday).

Yes, that was a direct quote from the Pokedex, I was showing where I got my info from. I <3 my Pokedex :p

PS: Is anybody else interested in the super-graph of all other trainers in the game?

EDIT: Oops...it seems that I really didn't attatch the graph. I apologize to all of you who said that you couldn't find it. Here it is:

Thanks. I hope to complete a graph of the rest of the in-game opponents, given time and possibly help from other Bulbagarden users. Would you care to help?

Np.
I can help anyway I can. But I can't guarantee anything, since I'm not good with this kind of stuff lol.
But yeah, I can try =)
