Due to a dying logic board, I was forced to get a new computer recently. The computer came equipped with a GeForce 6100 graphics/video card. On my old computer, I had (about 6 months ago) installed a Radeon 9200LX. Simple question: Which would be better to use? Both seem to work fine (minus a minor glitch from the GeForce) on the one computer game I frequent (although I haven't tried the Radeon with the new computer), so that's not an issue. It really boils down to whether installing the Radeon would be a good or stupid idea. Or if I've somehow found two video cards that are, more or less, equivacol.

But any help would be greatly appreciated.

My first question would be if the Radeon is even compatible. Recently, older AGP video cards have been phased out in favor of PCI Express. I don't know for certain, but if the Radeon is AGP and the board has PCI-Express, you'd be out of luck.

That said, I'm no expert on video cards by any stretch of the imagination. That's just the only thing that comes to mind.

I actually got bored and put the Radeon in. Fixed the weird glitch I was having in my game. But it feels...different. Like...1% worse. Weird stuff. Wish we could go back to the old days where you only had two colors and your biggest graphics issue was text size.
