I'm still a relative newcomer to the Pokemon world. I'm more well known around the MMO circles actually. My daughter was the one who got me interested in the game series, and since then the entire family has been entirely engulfed in Pokemania. Believe it or not, I feel the shared experience allows us to be closer as a family...but that's not exactly what you want to talk about around here, is it?

Suffice it to say, you have a new, long-winded neighbor from the US West Coast. I'm happy to make your acquaintance.

So I don't waste any threadspace, I do have a question. Are there any known bugs regarding the migrate feature between Gen III and Gen IV games? I'm finding that whenever we try to dual slot FireRed or LeafGreen with ANY Gen IV card, the data from the Kanto titles gets wiped completely. R/S/E are unaffected and work properly, and we're using all NTSC carts/cards as far as I know. Any information here would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Hey! So your daughter got you in? Thats cool. So anyway, welcome to the forums :)

And about the migrate problem... Data only gets wiped when the GBA cartridge is fake as far as I know. Either way it's faulty. So I suggest you go have it replaced with a new one.

I agree with blazaking, I own a genuine copy of leaf green and a fake copy of emerald, I can migrate pokemon safely from leaf green and I tried it with my copy of emerald, I lost ALL of my data on emerald, (and I had beaten the game)

Hullo and welcome from a fellow West Coast member

Velcome mister. Haha, I almost managed to do the same thing to my father. Have fun and be sure to read the rules.

Thank you for the warm welcome, and I appreciate the info. Should've known that deal on eBay was too good to be true.

I look forward to future contributions.

Another west coaster here man. And welcome. Sorry about your data. But the guys are right. They're fake.
