New guy here!

Fairly old geezer, aged 30, from Norway. I feel pretty old, but lurking on the forum I've seen some pretty mature people, so I can't be the only person above the teenage years, can I?

Started playing Pokémon Blue/Red back in 1999 when one of my brothers got the game as a christmas present. Sat up all that night playing the game on my brother's gameboy, and went out and bought my own gameboy and Pokémon game shortly after. Been a huge fan of the game ever since, but didn't really get into the second or third generation of the game, although I did play them - it just wasn't at the same level as I did with Red/Blue/Yellow and Pokémon Stadium. I'm lucky enough to have three younger brothers who are also into Pokémon, and last year we all got the FireRed/LeafGreen versions and had some awesome fun battles in Pokémon Colosseum.

I've got a Wii and a DS, and I love both to bits. When the new generation of Pokémon games came out, I just had to have one. I'm in Europe, so the games were just released here, but I got mine from the US the day it was released. I'm really addicted now!

I'm preparing for the European release of Battle Revolution, and hoping to get into online battles. I have a certain philosophy on Pokémon, though, and that's to never use legendary Pokémon - don't know why, it just feels wrong for me. I also love a challenge, so 'normal' Pokémon FTW!

Anyway, this looks like a pretty good forum, where we're even allowed to talk like adults ;) I'm sure I'll like it around here.

Have a good one!

ETA: Just wanted to add that I love the English language, and consider myself to be a spelling nazi. Caveat English language maulers.

You certainly aren't the oldest one here. I'm not far off from you at 26 years of age, and Barb, one of the admins, is in her 30s. There's also gadfly, who's at least that age. :p

Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy it.

A thirty year-old literate Norwegian Pokemon fan?

You're like the man I dream to be. But from Norway!

Do great things, Ryokan. They are expected now.

Welcome to BMGf from the oldest geezer here! the gadfly is Finnish-American, 52 years old and in two months will be another year older.

Spelling nazi? I think I'm going to like you. If you're a grammar nazi, I'll love you!

That's the only way I've ever posted here. I've suggested things and criticized things in the SOVA thread. My posts have been accepted by members and even respected to some extent.

My point? Whatever you post in whatever you focus on, games or something else, make sure it makes sense.
