I was wondering what exactly the groudon was that Butler revived from the fossil in Jirachi the Wishmaker. Is there not only meant to be one Groudon and it being immortal? So how can there be a fossil of a groudon then?

Its possible there is only one Groudon alive at once, but there were previous ones that died out.

Groudon does resemble a dinosaur, so maybe there were many more of them at the time, and all died in some way...

I'm wondering -what- exactly the Groudon in the movie was as it wasn't very clearly explained in the movie. I'm guessing that it was a corrupted Groudon because there wasn't enough energy to create it? I really don't know.

it was a fake there is only one groudon i forgot what happened in the movie i think butler used jirachi's power to make it

Yeah Butler did use Jirachi's power, he used it to revive one from a fossil, it could have been fa man made fossil
