Groudon's Gender

In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness Groudon is explictly identified as a male.

Chatot says this:

The myths say that he raised land from the sea. and that he built up the continents!

I believe that Chatot is referring to the REAL Groudon. He says this before you fight the illusion Groudon and after you have cleared the "dungeon chain" during this expedition (where you 1st meet Team Skull).

For this topic, I am not referring to the Groudon you fight before you meet

A side-game that gives Pokemon human characteristics as part of its story shouldn't be considered canon in relation to the main games.

It's probably worth listing them somewhere, as long as we make it clear that the genders are only for that particular continuity.

Yeah, basically. Refering to Groudon as a 'he' alone would have been a non-issue, as he can be gender-neutral, but calling Celebi a she changes things a bit.

I believed that Pokemon with no gender was either:

- Can't determine (like Magnemite)
- Rarely seen (Like the legendarys)

I looked back on this post on my topic regarding Groudon's gender:

So I take it all the legendaries have confirmed genders in MD2?

It's probably worth listing them somewhere, as long as we make it clear that the genders are only for that particular continuity.

I thought that maybe a little note could in appear in the trivia section pointing out that little fact.

So far I learned that:

Uxie - male
Mespirit - female
Azelf - male
Groudon - male
Dialga - male
Celebi - female
