GSC Remake vs Gen V... Game/Anime Connections

I did not know where to put this as its not anime or game related, but both.

There has been 4 main games so far set in: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, each game of a generation is usually released around the time of or around that Ash begins his adventures in that location in Anime.

Now, I don't know how long Sinnoh D/P anime will last, but there is 3 games out (all of them as far as I can see) Diamond/Pearl/Platinum

Now if a G/S/C remake does happen, it will break this trend. I can't see why Ash would go back to Johto, he has beat the league in that region.

I don't know how long D/P anime will last, but its been around a year since it began and Ash has got as far as 5th or 6th Gym (can't remember what) And so, I guess by end of next year D/P Anime will be near enough over as by then I am sure Ash will get as far as the league and challange E4.

The we have Battle Tower challanges which I assume will take things to the end of next year or beginning of 2010 or so.

So basically what I am asking, what do you predict to happen in future of Anime/Games cause if GSC remake does go ahead, it will be the first time a game has came out when the main Anime is generations ahead of it. If that does happen, t may be a long time before the remake does come out as Platinum still has to be released outside of Japan and by the time GSC remake is released it could be near time for a Gen V to happen (maybe) and would there be a Gen V then or would we see Ash go back to Johto for the GSC remake reason or would nintendo do both, remake G/S/C and do a Gen V? what do you think?
 
Thats what I meant before, after E4 we have battle tower/frontier and that may last until end of spring 2010 maybe. Thinking... maybe what we need to fill the void between generations is another Chronicles series after Battle Fronteir episodes if Gen V seems a little bit far off then if G/S/C is remade.
 
Actually what I meant to say in this thread was, what do you all think the future of pokemon will be and your right, I forgot about FR/LG. I know at the moment there is a lot of speculation of a GSC remake and will Gen V happen? etc...

So what would you predict for after D/P has ended (after Ash finishes his Sinnoh Saga) cause I know it will be a long while between next game (if its not a GSC remake) after platinum is released outside of Japan.
 
This is a shot in the dark, but what if Gen V games came along, and in those games you could play in more than one region? Like how in the Johto games, you could travel back to Kanto? Maybe they'll give us the option to play through more than one region.
