I found a way to clone pokémon in any game through the GTS. i wanted to post my tutorial but i haven't finished editing Shadow Raikou asked me how to do it a while back so I'm making it now.
What you will need:
At least 1 DS system
2 Pokémon games from the same GEN
A compatible wireless internet access point
Sleight of hand
1.Turn on the game that contains the pokémon you want to clone and deposit a pokemon into the GTS and make sure that you can complete the trade.
2. Disconnect from the GTS and go to Nintendo WFC settings or if you have a dsi, system settings and internet. Change your primary DNS to 88.191.118.153
3. Enter the GTS again with the same game.
4. You should recieve a message saying "(The pokémon you deposited) was not traded."
5. Disconnect from the GTS and change DNS to "Auto Obtain"
6. Enter the GTS with your 2nd pokémon game
7. Search for the pokemon that you deposited in the GTS. Be as specific as possible.
8. Complete the trade.
Done. You have cloned your pokemon!
If you don't care about losing the original, don't mind this warning
WARNING: This is highly risky if you you care about having the original, especially in the V Gen, because it can be traded away when you are looking for it.
A less risky way is after step 1, do step 6-8 and then step 2-5.
If your skeptical, this a tried and true method.
