Gts error's, or cheats?

Hey everyone, over the past day's, actually month's I have noticed that in the gts when searching under a certain pokemon, A differnt image of an other pokemon comes up. This has actually been repetitive, and whenever this happens, the differnt image is looking for a trade of that pokemon in the image. Have any of you guys noticed this, and does anyone have an answer as to this situation?
 
I've noticed this, too. For example, a level 34 Scyther appearing whenever I search for Mew. Every single time I search for Mew, that same Scyther always appears. I don't if it's hacked or anything, but it's been up for trade for weeks (maybe months) and no one has traded for it-- very suspicious.

Yeah- that is really weird. I actually was just looking for a Manaphy, and what came up was an Entei. What's up with the GTS?
 
I've heard some say this happens when the Pokemon has already been traded for but the player hasn't received it yet. But I would imagine its simply a Pokemon that has been hacked.
 
I've never been in the GTS, but I've heard that if you nicked the Pokemon with other Pokemon's name, it'll appear as that Pokemon in the GTS. But I dont know whether it is true or not.
 
That is really interesting that Nintendo wouldn't fix that. Why would anyone want to trick somebody like that?

I tried this just for the hell of it a while back, it did not work. I would think the GTS would go by the coding (or w/e you wanna call it) of the Pokemon itself, not the name, in determining what Pokemon it is.
 
Its a glitch, I think when you nickname a Pokemon the name of another, the GTS makes a mistake on what species it really is.

Also I've had my Pokemon on the GTS temporarily appear as a Houndour holding a Dawn Stone for no reason.
 
I once had a female Bidoof that I called Dialga on the GTS and when I looked at it, it looked like a Nidorino.
 
I had a mew come up once that was named "Jirachi", was lv100 and was suprised when they only asked a lv50 Arbok for it, it had the image of a jirachi, but when I traded, I got a mew. I got rid of it just incase it screwed up my game.
 
Also, has anyone noticed lately that you cant give off a mew during a trade.. i was just going to give a mew for a shiny GIRITINA! and it sais sorry error made while trading this pokemon... its occured more then once.
 
yes thats exactly what it said, and weird thing,,, other times i can trade it.
 
maybe, but i dont understand, ive used the same one and other times it works.
