  7. run around for at least 10-20 minutes
  8. fly back to jubilife
  9. login to gts again
  10. press summary
  11. press a button on summary page

  13. after it sais so and so was taken out, if you did every thing correctly, the pokemon should be shown on the evolution page.
Note: you can also just make a trade on GTS once your poke is in, and then take your poke back.
I've never tried it and was wondering what Pokemon I should ask for so I won't lose the Pokemon I'm trying to evolve.

It's true. I discovered this by accident when my Machoke evolved. I think I did the "trade while your Pokémon is on offer" thing.

When I looked at the summary, my Machoke was called Chimchar (which is either the Pokémon I traded away or received, I can't remember) and its sprite was that of a Nosepass. Then I took it out and... bam. Machamp. It freaked me out. o.o

...

I really should have written down exactly what I did somewhere.

You put up a pokemon that can evolve by trading. Ask for a level 100 mew or something you know no one will trade for.
Then make a trade by searching for what is up for trade.
Then take back your pokemon and it evolves. I did this with my dusclops and it worked but that was a month ago and haven’t used it lately.

Like I said I just made a trade and then took back my pokemon. No running required.

I know this isn’t the trade thread but if you are that desperate to evolve your pokemon I will help you out what is your Friend code? Mine is in my sig.

I've only got one DS, so I needed a way to evolve my trade Pokemon without trading them away.

I put Machoke on the GTS, then traded another Pokemon, then took it back.

It evolved into Machamp.

There's a topic on this on Serebiiforums, which is where I learned how to do that.

So that definitely works.

Although finding someone to trade with that didn't want a level 100 Dialga was difficult.

Nowadays, if Nintendo catches you on the GTS asking for legendaries of impossible levels, they'll ban you from it, lol. Of course, simply changing your friend code "fixes" that.

It's the reason why you see so many level 9 mew requests on there, lol.

Do they do this with illegal leveled evolutions?
