Guess the Us Release Date of DP!

I'll go by the month's and give pro's and con's:

September
+It would be a side-by-side release with Japan.
+It would rock.

-Highly unlikely Nintendo would release it in America so soon.
-Mysterious Dungeon comes out.

October
+Game's for the DS have come out in a months time from their JP date.

-Interferes with Ranger, which is supposed to lead up into D/P.

November
+Nintendo could do a two month translation, if they wanted too.

-Probably will focus on the Wii, as it supposedly comes out.

December
+Could get alot of money from kids buying it for Christmas.

-They have never released a Pokemon game in December.

January
+Many kids have money left over from Christmas.
+About 5 months since Japan release, R/S was about the same amount.

February
+A great time, half a year after Japan, kids still have money maybe left over.
+My birthday. XD


So, I'm going for a January or February release. What does everyone else think?
 
It isn't this year, Nintendo have announced all the DS games they'll be releasing in America this year.

Oddly enough, February's been the month I've imagined it'd settle at too. I'd say it's rather likely to fall in there or early March. With either a close date for Europe, a May date or... I dunno, 2010 or something.
 
I'd say they may go for a simultaneous realease for English speaking countries because of WiFi.

Although, I'm assuming you Uk and Aus. people will probably import the US version if the dates aren't the same.

Didn't do it for Animal Crossing. Didn't do it for Metroid Hunters. Didn't do it for Lost Contact. Didn't do it for Tetris. Didn't do it for Mario Kart. Don't see why they'd start for an RPG with a bazillion times more text to translate than all of those put together.... well, except Animal Crossing.
 
Games usually usually aren't released in Europe until a few months after the US release due to the translation time. Plus, Ranger isn't released over here until next year.

The offical Nintendo magazine in the UK puts D/P at a Spring 2007 release over here. I'm not sure how reliable that is but it is a plus to the early 2007 for the US theory.

ONM has barely more exclusive information than any other British gaming journalist or magazine. The spring 2007 is very much most likely just a logical assumption.
 
Ah, I should've researched before I said WiFi would make the games come out simultaneously in English countries.

But didn't the WiFi games come out alot sooner then some other DS games?

No. There just hasn't been that long a wait overall, Europe is getting less screwed these days because it's the only growing market, so we're getting pandered to a bit more.

The only real relatively quick release was Animal Crossing, which is in contrast to the 3 years it took to get the Cube version out here.

Apparently at Bryant Park Pokemon Party, they confirmed it will have a 2007 release. I don't know when in 2007, but it was kinda obvious.
 
What about perspectives on Australian release? GAH!!!! I don't like being left in the dark! Once they're past the U.S release, I have to stay off the internet so that I don't get spoilers. I'm hoping for earlier than June/July because I don't want to go 5-6 months without visiting serebii.net or bulbagarden.:bawling:
 
Why don't you just import the English version then? Less wait, works with DS, in your language, no problem.
 
I'll go with somewhere early 2007 as well. The anime dub, however, would not get to D/P until later than that.

I know that early next year is probably the most likely for D/P's release date here.


Although, I would really, really love it if D/P came out in September (same day as Japan). That would be really awesome!! XD

Of course, that's very unlikely, so I bet the earliest I could hope for would be either October, November, or December.


And while we're at it, I'll continue the trend by saying this. Hopefully, the games will come out on November 26th, cause that's my birthday. XD
 
Well as long as we are hoping for Birthday releases, how about December 28th?

Long shot, but I seriously expect this to debut in February or even March
(Ru/Sa released on March... the day the dreaded Iraq war started even.
(That's how I remember the date))
