I want this game but multiple discussions I've read say that you shouldn't buy it because the songs will suck.

Does anybody now what types of songs are on it?

Not sure, but a TRUE Guitar Hero fan (or a wannabe nerd like me XD), buys the game anyways. Its portable, which is freakin sweet!

I've never had a chance to own Guitar Hero, but I DO have a DS, so I am SO getting this. I don't care if it's not going to be 'true' to the franchise, I'm just stoked they put it on DS!

The only thing that irks me is that there would be no way to put it in a left handed mode and have it work real well. Ah well!

The songs already confirmed by Gamepro are:

"Spiderwebs" - No Doubt
"All the Small Things" - Blink-182
"Do What You Want" - OK Go
"Are You Gonna Be My Girl" - Jet
"We're Not Gonna Take It" - Twisted Sister

Honestly, We're Not Gonna Take It is worth getting the game to play even if the other songs are terrible pop songs straight from Now that's what I call Music #however many of those crappy things they're gonna make.

The songs are very meh... that and there are only four "fret" buttons. That alone is gonna turn away a majority of the potential buyers. I mean, if you play on Expert or even Hard on the console versions, this game would be a waste of money since it would not be challenging. X_x

I do love the franchise I'm just saying this particular version looks pretty lame at this point.

This particular game is made in the hopes that RedOctane can get more fans into the game series. I mean it's made for one of the most popular systems out right now, and people who get it will probably enjoy it and go on to buy a Guitar Hero game for one of the the other systems. Or maybe even get a new system on which to play the other games. All in all it seems like a really good marketing strategy.

I agree with that. Its just to bad its probably not gonna do much for the current fan base.

No, probably not. Except the whole being able to travel with it. But it probably won't have the greatest sound ever. it will for sure be the best sounding DS game to date.

Push those boundaries Nintendo, push 'em.

They're making a Guitar Hero for the DS?

Well, I liked EBA, so if this is anything like that, I might get it. Especially because Spiderwebs is my favorite No Doubt song. ^^
