Contest Gyarados vs. Simipour: better water Pokémon?

This is pretty much the most one-sided poll ever. Gyarados is way more popular (and better imo) than Simipour.

Gyarados easily. Simipour has a completely trash design. Gyarados is better in battle too (and its Mega is great!).

Gyarados is just infinitely better in pretty much every regard except for the fact Cress uses a Simipour, but even then, that doesn't beat out the serpent.

Also, as a side note, this is probably one of the weirdest polls I've ever seen in terms of choices. What factors are we comparing Gyarados and Simipour to apart from type? The former versus Milotic or the latter versus it's two counterparts, while overdones, makes more sense.

Gyarados any day- not only is it better in battle, it also looks cooler and has an awesome mega. Simipour is more the product of a gimmick than anything, while Gyarados is actually a fun and creative Pokémon that's made even more fun by the fact that it evolves from Magikarp, of all things.

Also, random poll is random.

I like Simipour better... but Gyrados is just infinitely the better Pokemon.

Although Gyarados is evidently the better option for competitive battling, Simipour seems like a Pokémon that one would get along with more and build a stronger friendship with. Its relaxed demeanor makes it much easier to take you around the region with its HM moves. I vote for it.

Gyarados, according to its dex entries, is difficult to control in certain scenarios. One would have to be an exceptional trainer in order to keep it tame and build the strong bond in order to unlock the power within its heart.

Magikarp is worth it...

Definitively Gyarados. I don't even need to look at Simpour to know that Gyarados is superior. I prefer the one that looks like an Asian dragon over some water monkey.

Re: Magikarp is worth it...

When it is the Pokemon Gyarados and Simipour the two Pokemon are neither stronger or weaker then the other. Simipour can only evolve by a water stone..Gyarados can evolve from Magikarp. If it is a question in battle I do not know how it would turn out.

Re: Magikarp is worth it...

I kinda sorta like gyarados and its mega, I guess. Simipour is kinda stupid. I don't outright h8 it like I used to, but it's still stupid.

Gyarados excels in every category, tbh. Simipour is easily one of the worst designs and battlers from Unova, though I am quite fond of the other two monkeys, despite their rather mediocre stats.

Gyarados all the way. From things as shallow as its appearance to more important things like its stats and movepool, it's got Simipour beaten very badly. Simipour's design also creeps me out a little... it makes me think of a squint-eyed blue hippie.

Gyarados has a better design, more useful, evolves easier and good for in game playthroughs.

Not to mention its total 'get rekt' attitude in competitive.

Gyarados has a more unique design and is obviously a better Pokémon for competitive purposes. As someone said before me, this poll isn't exactly fair. With that being said, Simipour is more "my kind of Pokémon" than Gyarados will ever be and I appreciate the concept of a blind monkey Pokémon (I have a soft spot for blind characters in video games). Plus, its design is amazing, so, my vote goes to Simipour.

Frankly, I think Simipour could potentially be a great competitive battler when raised right. Plus, it doesn't take 4x damage from Electric type moves, a slight advantage, and also it's cool looking and underrated. Why not, really.
