On a beautiful late summer day, a ferry moved through the crystal-clear waters of Hoenn, transporting students to Lilycove City's Gym Leader Academy. Out on the deck, next to a railing, Calvin sat and stared out at sea, appearing to be reciting numbers to himself with a bored look on his face. On a different section of the deck, Sakura sat at a table, drinking a cup of tea she made herself and looking out at the sea excitedly.
~*~*~*~

((@Midorikawa; @Lone_Garurumon; @Gengarzilla; @Qrow Branwen; @Naoto; @SpatiallyRendering; @Infinity Storm; @Sunsette; The time has come. Students are on the ferry, and don't have their Pokemon yet. They'll get them when they arrive. Teachers are at the academy preparing.))

Zachary Stone was excited. He didn't know how he was going to this school, but he was. He looked across the water, watching the volcano, the large waterfall, everything. The Hoenn region was a very nice looking place. But that wasn't what Zack was here for. Zack was here for the Lilycove Gym Leader Academy. A specialized school for specialized battling, for people specialized in their training. Zack turned back from the side of the boat, looking for somewhere to sit or lean.

From the other side of the boat, a faint arguementioned could be heard. It wasn't terribly loud, but anyone in the immediate vicinity could probably make out the words.

"The rules of the ship are right there. Show me where it says no skating."
"Just because it isn't explicitly forbidden doesn't give you carte Blanche to skate on a ferry in the middle of an ocean"
"Sayes you. I'm gonna skate. See you later Turtle"

Moments later, Richard dashed around a corner onto the deck, swerving at the last second to avoid crashing into a sailor. Of course, had he been looking forward, he might have been able to avoid running into a chair near where Sakura sat. Thankfully, all the crash did was startle him and knock the wind out of him. However, it was still enough to cause Joseph to sigh, immediately seeing his younger brother upon making his way to the deck.

Pandora and Elysium Izhar were easily identified as twins. As such, the identical sisters were chatting away nearby.... Well, chatting wasn't entirely accurate. If was more Ellie making points and Pandora protesting against them, mostly debating whether or not Steel types were better than Dragon types.

((@Qrow Branwen; I had stated that the students don't have their Pokemon yet.))

Sakura was in the middle of sipping her tea when Richard crashed near her, and was startled into almost choking, quickly spitting out the mouthful and coughing harshly for a moment. When she recovered, she set her cup down and stood up to see what happened. "Are... you okay?"

Apollo Adams had found himself a comfortable enough seat on the deck and was leaning back with his arms folded behind his head, watching the water with a relaxed gaze. He'd almost fallen asleep when there was a sudden crash from a ways down the deck, startling him.

When he looked over, he could see that some boy had run into another of the chairs, apparently while skating. He didn't look hurt, and there were other people around, so maybe it was best not to get involved? Apollo glanced around at the other kids nearby, waiting to see what they did before deciding whether to follow their lead or stay where he was.

OOC: Ah, I'll edit my post then.

Eventually the twins' little banter came to an end, a nice period of quaint silence settling in not long after.

"Well, come along, Panda, we should go meet new people." Ellie stood up, walking over to the commotion.

Pandora gave a near squawk of indignance at the name, following after her older twin. "I told you not to call me that, Ellie!"

Richard, still somewhat dazed from the collision, tried to stand up before stumbling again. Silently swearing to himself, he took the skates off, switching to his regular shoes before realizing someone else had asked him a question. Quickly directing his attention to Sakura, he said "Yeah I'm ok. Thanks for checking," becoming a bit quieter upon noticing his brother on the other side of the deck.

Zack, despite wanting to keep his distance from the skater, decided that the commotion was the perfect way to at least see new people. His blond hair blowing about, or at least as much as it could, he leaned against a wall that was kind of close to what had happened. "Huh." Was the only thing he muttered. A skater kid. He wondered what kind of person the rest of the group was.

Sakura looked sidelong at him for a moment, then sat back down and relaxed. "Okay... Please be more careful. You don't want to get hurt before we even arrive..." She replied, picking up her cup again. As she did, the wind picked up, spreading the aroma of her tea as she raised the cup to her lips and sipped.

Calvin calmly looked over from where he was to the commotion, sighing to himself, "And what did he learn? ...Oh, I lost my place. 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13..."

"It'll take more than that wipeout to hurt him. The glass cannon has a tendenfy to crash like that" Joseph remarked, walking over before reaching down to help his brother up. After glancing briefly to make sure he was ok, a smirk formed on his lips as he muttired "Told ya."

Richard put his skates away, irked mildly by his brother'said remark as he fixed the chair he'doesn't tumbled and sat down.

William Noir sat in a shady corner, reading a book.

It was way too bright out, and the sunlight hurt his eyes.

He sat in a corner, reading Shauntal's latest book. It was about someone who sold his soul to become a Pokemon Master. He liked the delicate touches of horror that seemed to highlight the main character's descent into darkness.

He loved it.

Sakura took her time sipping her tea, then lowered it, looking a bit unsure. "Okay then," She murmured, then nodded and returned her attention to her delicious-smelling tea.

Apollo glanced about once more, and settled back in his chair once it seemed like nobody really needed help. He didn't want to look like a jerk for sitting around while someone was hurt, but it was probably worse to go barging in if they were all okay. Just to be sure, though, he called over. "Everything okay over there?"

"Yeah I'm good" Richard replied, doing his best to ignore his brothers teasing. He hated it when Joseph ended up being right, even more so when he pointed it out. Dusting himself off, he decided to try to get a read on his future classmates. Moving his seat over to Sakura'sat table, he quietly muttered "Sorry for startling you."

Joseph decided he'd given his sibling enough flack for now and walked away, deciding to rest against the railing and simply watch the ocean. It never failed to put him at ease.

"Hi there!" Damien all but shouted in the face of William as he moved up to the boy with the book. "My name's Damien. What's yours?"

Meanwhile, in the faculty lounge of the academy, Parker Bronson appeared to be on the verge of going into a fit. "Oh, my, goodness! Look at the time! The students are going to be here within the hour! Oh, this is so exciting! It feels like so long since we got a new batch of students!" He exclaimed waving his arms about as though hailing a ship, as his Lucario tried persistently (in vain, as was generally the case) to calm him down.

Will jumped slightly before quickly regaining his composure.

"Salutations, Damien," Will greeted. "My name is William Noir, and its a pleasure to meet you."

"Yeah, likewise." Damien replied. "Man, Hoenn looks so cool doesn't it?" He asked as he stared out at the island region coming closer as they neared their destination. "I've seen it on TV and stuff, but the real thing is so much cooler"

"I've only really seen it or read about it in books." Will explained. "I'm quite exhilarated to see the region for itself. I truly excited to meet my first Pokemon."

"Yeah, my family had some Pokemon at the house back in Sinnoh, but this one'll actually be mine, I'll be able to raise it, train it, evolve it, all by myself. And then I'll be able to use it as a Gym Leader." Damien trailed off and began daydreaming of battling challengers with mighty Tyranitar, Zoroark, Drapion, and other Dark types.
