should all of the Gym's Leaders Pokémon have an article or just one? My understanding is it's just the one that appears most often on screen like Gardenia's Turtwig or Maylene's Lucario.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I believe we go by notoriety, so with Gym Leaders it is normally their main Pokémon that gets an article. (Example: Rorak's Rampardos has an article, but his Geodude doesn't.)

Hmm, my question is why Rudy has all his Pokémon, since they all more or less appeared for around 10 mins or so each and have no difference when compared to others of the same type.

the only big notability i can see about any of Rudy's pokemon is the fact that Starmie was the first water-type to use Thunderbolt and that's the only thing.

Pikachu VS Electabuzz: duration, approximately 1:14

Bulbasaur VS Exeggutor: duration, approximately 1:14 (1:44 if you wait through the team rocket scene until it is actually recalled to it's Pokéball)

Squirtle VS Starmie: duration, approximately 3:30 (Also, this was the battle Rudy dedicated to Misty, it is also the match where Squirtle learns Hydro Pump; not to mention the fact that in the anime, the Gym Leader's main Pokémon always comes last a gym battle.)

So in terms of which of Rudy's Pokémon meets the notability standard, it's Starmie.

None of those Pokémon are really very notable. The battle with Starmie may have been important but that had little to do with the Pokémon itself. In its current state, the article on Rudy's Starmie only has one substantial paragraph and not much chance for expansion.

I would prefer us to bring up the notability line a little for individual Pokémon. The information can instead be placed on the page of the Pokémon's trainer.

And now for a very current question: Does Crasher Wake's Floatzel deserve an article? It's one thing when the signature Pokémon is developed in the "introduce the Gym Leader" episode but this is another case where all we can really write about is the battle.
